Keeping It Fresh

Today I have an interesting mix of genres. Today's instrumental song is by an awesome duo from Sweden, Icona Pop. It is rare to find female DJ's and electro groups, but here is one that has great beats! This song is really catchy and its something that you could be caught dancing to in your room. I think Icona Pop is really pushing more into the music scene, and I hope they begin to be noticed more! Today's instrumental song is by the gods of French house and house in general-Daft Punk. No one can deny how freaking phenomenal and incredible their music is, and how fresh their sound is! This is a song off their upcoming new album. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have some music from the beautiful country Puerto Rico. Daddy Yankee is a prominent artist in the Latin American scene, and for good reason! His beats are great to dance to and have a fantastic blend of reggaeton and Latin American beats. It is an awesome blend of mambo and saco as well! Today's instrumental song is an example of mambo beats, which is actually quite catchy. Mambo beats can make you want to start dancing! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's songs take a much different tone than a lot of what I have posted. I have noticed many saddening complications in so many lives and in society in general. For anyone who has troubling or confusing emotions, maybe these songs can express how you are feeling. If you are feeling great, than these songs are just absolutely gorgeous to listen to and calming. The first song is by Ross Copperman who is a gifted songwriter. The second song is from the movie 28 Weeks Later. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song of the day is by the Australian rock band called The Temper Trap. This song has an older style beat with energetic and exciting chorus melodies. I personally really enjoy the Temper Trap because their music has older styles with modern instruments and a pop-punk voice. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Immortals, which I found very interesting. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by an indie rock group called Local Natives. They used to be called Cavil at Rest, so if that sounds familiar then you know this band! If not, this band has a nice mellow sound and this song in particular has a beautiful sound to it. They use the instruments incredibly well, with a balanced tone and a perfectly synced off beat drum beat. Today's instrumental song is by Loreena McKennitt. In this song, she beautifully utilizes foreign instruments and Celtic themes. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

So last night I went to possibly the greatest concert of my life, which was only rivaled by Coldplay. Muse deserves the title of the greatest live band in the world, because they were freaking phenomenal. The pyrotechnics, light show, and song choices were so perfect and everything ran so smoothly. You know it was a great show if you wake up with a sore neck from headbanging and a sore throat from yelling and singing! Today's second song is by the opening band called Dead Sara. The lead singer is the only woman I know who can do screamo and sound like a fantastic bad ass! I saw them last year and I firmly believe this band deserves more recognition! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Last night was a Dillon Francis concert, who kicks serious ass live! So, I decided to post one of his songs, and one of my favorites! This song has an awesome drop and it is so much fun to dance to! The beat is sick and this song is mad genius! Today's instrumental song is by W&W, a progressive electro duo from the Netherlands. This song is downright sick! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
