Today's song is by an indie rock group called Local Natives. They used to be called Cavil at Rest, so if that sounds familiar then you know this band! If not, this band has a nice mellow sound and this song in particular has a beautiful sound to it. They use the instruments incredibly well, with a balanced tone and a perfectly synced off beat drum beat. Today's instrumental song is by Loreena McKennitt. Kongos and Beastie Boys
Today's song is a really cool one out of South Africa by the band Kongos. There are so many awesome things happening in this song. For example the first sounds you hear is this really sick accordion work, and yes, these guys made the accordion look even cooler than any other musician out there has. I love the way they use the accordion and the tone of it. And then you hit the chorus which has these really strong vocals and you get the feel from the multiple voices with these sweet guitar licks and such a loud presence with the electric guitar. This song just kicks some major ass! Today's song is by the Beastie Boys, and is one of my favorite songs by them.
