Adam K & Soha and Kaskade & Deadmau5

It has been a long while since I have posted anything remotely close to old school electronic music. So I thought, why not today? Today's song brings back memories of driving in a car late at night, cruising with the windows down and enjoying the moment.

This song transports us back to a different time in electronic music. It takes us back over 10 years ago, to the beginnings of progressive house. This song has been remixed by Adam K & Soha and takes on a completely different genre compared to the original. The original version is by Ercoa and Heikki, and the roots of the track can be found in drum & bass and a bit of house. However, today's remixed version takes on progressive house vibe. The remix is more subdued, softening up some of the more intense parts of the original and amplifying the melody. A lot of times with progressive house, the song is more about the melody and the atmosphere rather than bass and beats. We definitely hear that in this track, with the melody becoming a major part of the entire song. The intense drum beats have taken a back seat and turn into club beats. The song is driven forward by a cascading rhythm of beats which don't feel overwhelming or too loud. The song actually pulls more from trance beats, which are lighter and offer a rhythmic melody and weave into the major melody.

What I love about this song is the atmosphere. The track is warm and inviting. It's freeing and whimsical. It has everything you could want from a club and has everything you need to chill out and enjoy every single moment. Even the lyrics are carefree and wonderful! This is the kind of track which is meant for dancing. It is meant for hanging out and lounging around. It is meant for those midnight drives with close friends or those late nights looking up at the stars. It has been such a long while since I have had such little to say about a track, other than just, enjoy! A soothing breath of fresh air!

Today's instrumental song is by Kaskade, another master in the world of progressive house music. This is another one of those "eurodance" and club mixes, while also being such a great track to just chill out to. At this point, I don't know how else I would describe this style of music! The electronic music spectrum is all over the place, and so many artists fall into so many genres. So while I will say this song is predominately progressive house, we get wonderful tastes of trance in there as well. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
