The Little Prince and Lady & The Tramp
Today I have some music for you from a movie that was so incredibly well done. The Little Prince is a movie I recommend everyone to see. It doesn't matter how old you are, what you are doing in life, or where you are, this is a film that speaks to your inner child and your soul. While this movie is definitely social commentary on the status of society, it is such a beautiful message and a magically done movie. The film has different styles of animation that are tastefully done and structured in a way so that the stories that are told really do come to life in their own unique way. And because The Little Prince is based off a French novel, the soundtrack features a few French inspired pieces.
This particular song is one of those adorable French songs, with a wonderfully comforting and warm atmosphere. It is a bubbly and lively song, full of happiness and an overall sense of contentment. This is a song that reminds me of kites flying high and bubbles floating through the air. This song is also very characteristically French in the way the melody sounds, created with a low singing stringed instrument. We also get that bouncy percussion beat and light hearted twinkle of instruments in the background, making this song sound like you are floating on a feather. I love how sweet the song is.
Camille is the vocalist for the song, and she sings the entire song in French. But her voice is soft and sweet, a sound that is just a pleasant and coffeehouse kind of sound. Camille sings with a bright and lovely style, that is kind of reminiscent of meeting someone sweet at a cafe. She has an adorably romantic kind of voice, the kind that is perfectly suited for French cafe kind of music. Her work on this song is impeccably wonderful, and the light harmonies are the perfect touch to complete the well rounded sound of the song. I love how the song opens up with that typical "romantic" Parisian sound and then segues into a sound that is bubbly and fun. This isn't a high energy song at all. But it is such an invigorating and vivacious song. This song is sound for the soul, full of that energy that you get when you smile uncontrollably. This is the kind of song that will keep a soft smile playing on your face, and to be quite frank, I think that is one of the greatest parts about this song.
Just like the movie, it is full of life and you can't help but get caught up in the emotions. For this song, we get swept up by the overall feel good sound and that is just lovely. The Little Prince is not only a movie that I recommend you all watch, but the soundtrack is equally as phenomenal. Both of these are a bit eclectic and out of the ordinary, but that is what makes it so beautiful. That is what makes it stand out as a masterpiece.
Today's instrumental song had to continue the French theme, so I took this song from one of the most beloved classic Disney films, Lady and The Tramp. This movie is so adorable and will forever be a cute love story between characters that shouldn't be together. Those are generally the best kinds of movies because of how warming and enchanting and sweet they are. This song is the most famous from the movie, but still remains a lovely and heart warming piece. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
