Sultan & Shepard and Audien

Today I have some music for you that comes from the world of EDM. This song is by the electronic music duo known as Sultan & Shepard. This is such a feel good track! EDM tends to be a style of music that is all about inclusiveness, unity, and feeling really great. We get all of that with this track. Sultan & Shepard have given us a song that is full of euphoric highs and soul filling drops. The song opens up with a really nice acoustic guitar intro which later gets layered into a mix of synths. Sultan & Shepard do an incredible job of incorporating synthetic and organic instruments. The blend of musical mediums is outstanding, and very clear. The two styles come together like gears and give the song the beauty and life that I love so much. The sound we get is so unique and diverse. I especially love it when we hit the chorus melody, the main melody that accompanies the post drop. It has so much energy and vivacity that makes me feel on top of cloud nine. The synths tend to be bit more of the stab synth style, but that keeps everything so dynamic. Adding to that dynamism is the way the pre drop sounds compared to the post drop. Before the drop, we get something that is softer and more graceful in a way. We get to hear the piano work that Sultan & Shepard have woven in. and it is accompanied by the soft plinking of a xylophone. That gives way to that trance like and energy filled drop. The melody itself is a little difficult to describe, what it exactly sounds like. But I absolutely love it! The feeling this song gives us is one of absolute exhilaration and transports us to that place outside of everything. This song is so rich and full of a feeling that sustains the soul. Now today's instrumental song comes from one of my absolute favorite EDM artists. Audien is one of my favorite trance artists! His music has this insane ability to take me to this state of ecstasy. There is this inherent bubbliness and liveliness that his music exudes. In this song we get to hear how upbeat and positive and almost inspirational the melody is. Audien's music is so freeing and revitalizing. This song by Audien is actually more of a smooth mix between being trance and progressive house. What this gives the song is a beautiful and rich melody paired with just enough energy to be something we want to get a little wild with. The song has an incredibly catchy melody with expertly crafted piano riffs. One of the best parts of the song though comes from the euphoric build ups and break downs. The song is insatiably uplifting and creates this rush of happiness. Audien has carefully and creatively composed a masterpiece.
