Gallant, Tablo, & Eric Nam and John Mayer

Today I have some awesome new music for you by one of my absolute favorite R&B singers of late. Gallant is an artist who has blown me away and swept me off my feet multiple times. His music is deep and rich, with a multitude of sounds and vibes going through them. Gallant does tend to favor more of the chilled out and smooth R&B side of things, but he pulls that sound off so incredibly well. This song is no different and offers us a sound that is alternative and sensual and the smoothest of R&B. This song also features the collaboration of two Korean artists, Tablo and Eric Nam. Korean artists are also really well known for having smooth R&B and soul. When you put all three of these artists together, we get a song that has the synth and melody work of chillstep, with the smooth sex appeal of R&B. This is definitely in the category of seductive when it comes to music. Gallant wins us over with his silky and soft voice and heart-warming falsettos. This shimmering cosmopolitan song is one that is right up Gallant's alley but is also really in tune with the Korean R&B sound and scene. This song is free-wheeling and suave, carrying a kind of rich vibe and mood. This song is also a bit of a 90's throwback kind of song, all about the pains of love. Now I say this because of the way the song vibes together. There is clearly a strong synth melody that is flanked with some shimmering cymbals to convey this sensual smoothness. This is the kind of song I would listen to while walking around alone at night. There is this calming suave nature to the song, which is taken from that 90's R&B style we all desperately love. Gallant swoops in with a strong vocal verse at the beginning. He sets the tone for the song and does so in such an excellent manner. We automatically get this feeling of sexiness and smoothness, like smokey room jazz. Gallant shows us the deeper vocals and how they can soar to a lovely falsetto. The harmonization we also hear is impeccable. It is so perfectly synced up and shows through only when the song needs a little bit of a lighter touch. Gallant's delivery of the chorus is perfect and like porcelain. Then comes in Tablo with his rap verse, which is pretty good! I like the way he starts emphasizing individual syllables and sounds within his verse, particularly in the beginning. We focus on those particular lines and words a lot more, and that effect is very well carried out. We don't hear a whole lot from Tablo, maybe because he raps through. But it is still an exquisite verse on its own.  Like the fact that these Korean artists are so open to the entertainment and media industries. Eric Nam comes in and completely cleans the song up with some of the most beautiful vocals I have ever heard. Eric Nam has a voice that could be spread like butter; it is that perfectly smooth. His voice is softer and more vulnerable than Gallant's, who has more power and sultry attitude. Eric Nam comes in and kind of steals part of the show because of how well and perfect his show was. This song is such a good combination for the three artists, and I cannot wait to see what other collaborations these three come up with. I for one am absolutely in love with the song by the stories you learn from there. Today's instrumental song is a song by the one and only John Mayer. This man is one that I have not been able to stop listening to, and this song happened to catch my brain for a while. John Mayer is another one of those artists who has a wonderfully brilliant voice and lyric set. His work features more bluesy sounds;, but he has been known to dabble a bit in other genres. This song is one of his most favorite and popular songs a song that is so sweet and positive. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
