Jaymes Young and Sufjan Stevens

Today I have a song for by the artist known as Jaymes Young. This song is so smooth and chill, and is something that I completely love and enjoy. There are these little nuances in this song that give it personality and substance. For example, one thing that the song uses is the electric guitar. That isn't something you normally hear in a song that has more of an electronic and alternative R&B vibe, but that guitar work adds this really nice R&B flair to it that really fits the song's sound. This song has a nice upbeat kind of sound to it, something that transitions into a little bit of a slower sound. But even with that slower sound, there is a really nice liveliness to the song. This song definitely has a little bit more of a seductive feel to it, which is something that definitely goes with the territory of R&B. That is actually something super great about this song. There is a great balance between being a little bit R&B, a little bit rock, and a little bit electronic. But this song is not EDM heavy whatsoever. It is more of a synth pop sound, something that tones down the energy blasts that come with EDM. That is something very important to maintain when making a song like this because there is a certain vibe and tone that comes with the song. There is a certain sound that needs to be maintained, and having this more low key synth work is so much better suited for the song. Jaymes Young has a really smooth voice, one that has a little bit of soul in it. I don't know what it is, but there is something really lustful about his voice. He sings with clarity and doesn't have the gruff and rugged voice that other male singers have. His vocals are as smooth as the music that accompanies it. Jaymes Young is an incredible artist, one who has mastered the art of making music with more melancholy undertones, and I am really blown away by it. His music itself isn't sad, but the mood of the music reminds me of a cloudy and gloomy day. There is something naturally darker about his music, but that style is something that I find rather comforting. The mood and tone of this song puts everything on a sort of grey scale, and that gives Jaymes Young's voice more levels of depth and dynamism. Today's instrumental song is by an artist I have not talked about in a very long while. The first song samples some music by the artist Sufjan Stevens, who has written this beautiful and somewhat eerie composition. I love him as an artist and composer. Sufjan Stevens has this magical way with the piano. The man is a singer-songwriter and composes his own piano music, the kind of music that is very emotive and poignant. Generally, there are very few instruments that accompany Sufjan Stevens because he relies on raw sound and the beauty of simplicity. This song, this is a sample of Sufjan Stevens's brilliant work. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
