Jai Wolf and M83

Today I had the pleasure of attending a concert that was absolutely amazing. This may be one of my all time favorite electronic shows ever! Jai Wolf is a DJ and producer who played an absolutely phenomenal show tonight. His style is very different in comparison to most EDM we hear nowadays, and I love that. This song is from his debut album, and this album is so different from every other EDM album out there. Jai Wolf takes on a breathtaking and emotional journey through the feelings and moments in life that make us feel alive. Jai Wolf gives us euphoric synths accompanied by stunningly brilliant vocals. Jai Wolf focuses the power of his music on the idea of human connection. And we get to hear that from the musicality and lyrics of this song. It is a delicate art to be able to bring something as robotic and tech oriented as EDM to a more human level. But Jai Wolf does it with a grace and ease that is simply unheard of. This song is a ballad about the humanity of it all, and that state of euphoria is clearly and spectacularly expressed. It was Jai Wolf's infectious remixes which really put him in the spotlight, but it is these emotive electronic songs that will keep him there. This song is one that is a feel good, cinematic masterpiece. Jai Wolf's ethereal soundscape is one that is not easily found but quickly loved. Jai Wolf has dabbled in a few other genres before really finding his sound, but one thing that is common throughout is the melodious nature of his music. From melodic dubstep to the melodic electronica we hear now, that sense of musicality is never lost. He draws on classical music from both Western and Eastern parts of the globe to create a picture that is somehow abstract but clear at the same time. There isn't a uniform look to this image, however, it makes us all really feel. And that is something that Jai Wolf does better than most electronic artists, Bringing emotion and humanity and life back into a genre of music that has lost all touch with what it is like to be connected. There is a soothing warmth to Jai Wolf's music, a coziness, and comfort that makes us feel so good inside. There is a dreamy grandness to the songs he makes. You get lost in the music without even trying, and don't really feel the need to come back. I love that carefree and boundless nature of the music. There aren't any drops in this song. The climactic moments in the song are when the so-called "beat drops," but for Jai Wolf, it is the moment we feel like we are flying and soaring among the clouds. It is that moment when we feel absolutely free and light with wings that can take us anywhere we wish. Jai Wolf reminds us of what it is like to really feel alive and feel connected to everyone around us. Today's instrumental song is by another one of those rare artists. M83 is a band that always has me in this euphoric state of being. There is a cinematic beauty to their music as well, the soundtrack to a movie that is bursting with hope. M83 has become popular for a couple of songs, but this was one I had to share. This song is one that is full of hopes and dreams that are bursting at the seam. It is the soundtrack to those moments in life that you feel completely free. It is the soundtrack to those moments when you feel like you are soaring, face turned towards the sun. And I can see the stars, planets, and the beauty of the galaxies. It is the soundtrack to the moment you realize that everything really will be okay. M83 is one of those rare artists who doesn't create music, but an emotional and purposeful journey. This song is one that always has my soul feeling full and alive.
