Anderson Paak and Kendrick Lamar

HELLO! I have been on a bit of a hiatus this past weekend, but for an absolutely great reason! I had the opportunity to attend one of the biggest music festivals in the world- Austin City Limits. This festival was an experience that I would not trade! Austin City Limits is an annual festival hosted in Texas and features artists from all over the country and world. Across genres and levels of pop culture, Austin City Limits caters to the inner music junkie and brings all kinds of music lovers together. Being hosted in the live music capital of the world, ACL is a festival that showcases so many incredible performers, the kind of performers that leave you even more impressed when you hear them live. Yes, of course, there are many well-known artists who perform, but there are also so many lesser-known musicians that are absolutely incredible. From rock music to rap music to EDM to jazz, Austin City Limits is home to so many amazing artists. Going to a music festival is an experience that is amazing to be a part of at least once. ACL was eye-opening and wonderful, and exhilarating and crazy. There were moments that were beautiful and incredible, and some moments that weren't exactly stellar. But the best part of it all, was that feeling of getting lost in the music and knowing that there are hundreds and thousands of other people who are getting just as lost. So many others that are feeling the ecstasy of being woven in the moments of musical magic. And that is a feeling that can never truly be described, but experienced. So for the next few days, I am going to be featuring music from artists who played the festival. Some of them will be very well known and others you probably haven't heard of. To start it all off, I have some music for you from a wildly talented jazz hop musician by the name Anderson Paak. This many is a creative genius and a soulful songwriter. There is such a nice chilled out vibe to his music and never a moment of boredom. Anderson Paak has a very activist voice but does so in a way that isn't too aggressive. He is very similar to the second artists of the day, which happens to be Kendrick Lamar. This is a rapper who has done so much intense and genuinely brilliant work. Kendrick Lamar is definitely an activist and makes it known through his music, but the causes he stands for I can't help but support. Kendrick Lamar is not afraid to make bold statements in his work while still being clever. He takes underground hip hop to a different height and I cannot help but appreciate and love that part of his music. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
