Two Feet and The Glitch Mob

Today I have some hard hitting music from the electronic world, a sound that I haven't really posted about in a long time. There was a phase in music recently which put trap at the forefront of what was popular in a lot of spheres. However, a lot of times it wasn't necessarily the kind of trap music that a lot of heavy EDM listeners were familiar with. Much of what the world knows about trap right now, is based on a pop music skewed view on the musical genre. But there is a ton of music, this song included, out there that is more related to the actual definition of trap. This song is by Two Feet, a group that most people have never heard and probably won't ever hear of in most music venues and spaces. Two Feet is a smaller and underground artist who does a lot of work in the more chilled out sphere of trap. This song is a really smooth sailing song. There aren't any heavy hitting, earth shattering drops, and there aren't any weird robotic sounds programmed into the song either. This is a rather bass heavy song, I will give it that much. But it is still very tastefully done and Two Feet has done an amazing job of making sure that this song has some kind of intensity to it without having the feel of a rager. There is an urban twist to the song, giving it a little bit of a hip hop kind of rhythm. That slower and more seductive feel is definitely present in this song even after the drop. If anything, the first drop that we get is the most climactic point in the song. That is the point in which the dangerous and seductive part of the song really rises to prominence. Instead of relying solely on synthesizers and programmable sounds, Two Feet uses an electric guitar in this song to play out the instrumental melody. I found this to be something really unique to Two Feet because a lot of trap artists don't follow that kind of instrumental standard. A lot of times they shy away from the normal and get something eclectic and wonderful. But this song is a great change of pace because of how progressive it is in comparison to the old music. I do enjoy the fact that Two Feet takes this song and makes it a blend of genres. Taking something like urban hip hop and electronics music has become increasingly popular, and for good reason. It creates something that is incredibly catchy and extremely fun to jam out to. I haven't had much time to go and listen to all of Two Feet's work, but is something I look forward to doing because of how wicked this is. Today's instrumental song is by the Glitch Mob. I haven't heard anything new from them in a while, but their old music is still as epic as ever. The Glitch Mob is timeless. Their music is legendary and just as dramatically awesome. Their command over the scope of epic instrumentals is wicked impressive. I hope you enjoy the music, and please feel free to comment!
