Today I have some music for you from the world of Bollywood. This is from the latest Hindi film that I watched, and I have to say, this is a soundtrack that I fell in love with. The whole movie is all about love, love for music and that which you are passionate about as well as love for that one person in your life whom you can't live without. This song is sung by one of my favorite playback singers of all time - Arijit Singh. He is one of the newer singers to come into prominence, but his musical work is unparalleled in comparison to other new songs and singers. Arijit Singh is not only a powerful singer, but is one who is very emotional and vulnerable when he sings. Whether you hear his tracks as part of an album, or hear him sing a live show, his music is so beautifully melancholy at times, kind of like this song. This song is one that I have not been able to stop singing, one that I have not been able to let go of in my head. This song is one that doesn't have the typical dark and emotional sound to it. There is a lot more emotion poured into this song, and we can tell from just the musical background. One of the things I love so much about Hindi, is that words don't have simple meaning. There is so much depth to each word, everything meaning more than what the words could be translated into. That is something so wonderful to me though. Hindi is the kind of language that you can never truly translate, but even if you don't understand the language, it is one that you can feel. You can feel what the words are trying to say, and that makes it something that is so completely enchanting and indescribable. With this song, you can feel what the lyrics are telling you. It is more than sadness and love. This is about how both of these feelings are intertwined, how these emotions can race through your heart, chasing each other in circles. This is a song about how broken being in love can make you feel, how time loses its definition, how your heart stops beating. This song is one that goes beyond what we hear heartbreak is from English songs. And that is something that cannot be replicated. The way this song makes you feel is something unique and special, even if it breaks your heart to hear how broken hearted this man is. Either way, Arijit Singh delivers a performance that can leave people in tears and left me singing my heart out, pouring all of my own emotional turmoil into it. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Rockstar. This is another Bollywood film, and definitely shares similarities with the first movie. But this movie is a different take on the music industry, and this song is one that captures an ideology very well. Many people see the glam and glory with fame, but very few understand how difficult that can make life. And this piece captures that dichotomy very well.
