Gioni and TNGHT

Today I have a really sick remix of a popular Diplo song by the trap DJ Gioni. Since today is all about trap music, I decided to post this remix. This one is a really interesting because it plays with a different harmony for the synth line than the original song. But wonderfully enough, it works so well! This harmony is almost like a piano, which is definitely different for a trap song. But the drop for this song is pretty incredible as well. It isn't the normal kind of drop you would expect, but the way it sounds gives it less of an intense sound, but more of a hype sound. To me, those are the two sides of trap music- intense and bad ass vs hype and energetic. This song definitely falls under the latter, and this is mainly because there is less bass and a less dramatic drop. But that is what makes this song great for a hype song. I definitely work out to this song, especially when lifting weights. It has that perfect beat for it, and it is a beat that is heavily pronounced and easy to hear. This is more of a percussion based song rather than bass, which is different for a song like this, but at the same time, it is a style that I am a fan of. Some songs just sound better with more percussion! Believe it or not, bass is not always everything. But both this remix by Gioni and the original are great songs, and it honestly just depends on your taste! Today's instrumental song is one that I have had stuck in my head for such a long time, and have not been able to get out! But, I am actually super okay with that because it is a ridiculously hype song. This is the kind of song to get in your face, with gigantic sounds and a bombastic climax.  So this song is by TNGHT, which is a duo of DJ's out of Los Angeles. This song has such a menacing bass, supercharged clapping to the rhythm, and stuttering vocal samples. So in short, this is the kind of song that would shake the room. This song is kind of like a futuristic hip hop sound, a great step in the evolutionary process of music. That being said, I love how this song also has blaring horns and woodwinds. They announce the arrival of the awesome bad assery that is this song and the drop, and are sewn in perfectly into the sound waves. This song is boisterous and loud and a little chaotic, but that reigned chaos makes this song something that feels like there is energy literally bubbling up from the music. Needless to say, this is a hype song that totally gets the blood flowing and the bass bumping. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
