Two Worlds and Jason Mraz

Today I have some really fun music for you by the duo known as Two Worlds. This is a group that is most definitely a fantastic and different underground sound. Normally when people think about underground and lesser known music, their minds go immediately to rap and EDM and synth pop kinds of music. But what is really cool is that this song is not along those lines whatsoever. This song is full of pop, funk, and soul! This is a song that is really great and summery and has this all around feel good sound to it. There is this groove to this song that you absolutely cannot shake. Even if it is raining outside, your socks have gotten wet, and tour grocery bags have ripped, this song can still lift your spirits. There is just this amazing energy to it, one that reminds me a little of Jason Mraz. There is this nice dance vibe to it as well, the kind of dancing you would do when your making breakfast in the morning, and just jamming out. I think one of the best ways to describe this song is to call it a happy-go-lucky song. This is such a lush song, one that is full of different musical styles and genres. Both members of Two Worlds sing, and each one has a beautiful and incredible range. The opening of the song has this old school hip hop kind of sound, one that strangely enough uses the guitar and ukulele to create a sense of beat and percussion.  Again, this is another way why this song reminds me so much of Jason Mraz. There are clear reggae and rap influences, with a lot of 80s funk spun in as well. But I personally love that! Because that is such a great segue to when this wonderful duo starts singing. They both have softer and more acoustic voices, but each one also brings a little bit of their own flair. There is something so attractive about their voices. They pull you in and don't need to hold you because our ears are already hooked! You can also clearly hear the passion with which they sing. The bubbly sound in the vocals is what adds to half of the light heartedness of the song! Now another thing I love about the way this song is sung is that we do get that rap-singing style of performance during the second verse of the song. This is a style that people try and find to be very difficult to master. But I have to say, Two Worlds definitely has that in the bag. Not even the slightest hesitation to say that Two Worlds has a firm grasp on the ability to rap and sing, while also playing instruments. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that? Two Worlds sings and plays pretty much all the instruments in the song. That tells me that this is a duo that is in it for the music and that there is a sense of uniqueness that they want to accomplish with their music. I feel like if they could swing it, Two Worlds could definitely even try scatting their way through the song and it would still work! Actually, that would be pretty darn awesome...but that is another story all together! We also get a bit of a Jackson 5 vibe from the song, a lot of funk, and even a little bit of some blue eyed soul. Soul music like this is so hard to find in musicians this young, so I have to say, kudos to them for really bringing that style of music to a more modern and younger demographic. Two Worlds has this really great thing going for them. Their music is fresh and revitalizing, especially in a time when much of the music industry is run by drum pads and synths and computers. Two Worlds brings us an enchanting bubble filled with sunlight and the pep of a carbonated drink. Their falsettos win our ears over, and the rapid fire singing puts a little spring in our step. This is a duo that I would love to see go far, and I hope they do! Two Worlds has the capability to really make a mark in today's music scene because of their magically different style of music, one that we haven't heard a lot of for a long time. Today's instrumental song just had to be by Jason Mraz. It just fit so well, I couldn't pass up on this opportunity. Anyway, this song is actually one of my favorites that he performs live. I won't lie, I do prefer his live rendition more, but that is always up for opinion! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
