She Wants Revenge and The Originals

Today I have music for you by a band called She Wants Revenge. Now I won't lie, this was not a band I was familiar with until recently, but man was I impressed and jamming to this introductory song. This is a song that has a lot of grit and is a little rough around the edges. The guitar takes on a much edgier sound, which is something we are really missing from rock music today. This is a song that takes me back to the grungier times, the early 2000s style of rock. I mean when I listen to this song, it makes me feel like I am someone who strut down the hallway of some huge corporate office, and have everyone know that I am definitely someone important. This song oozes that kind of suave danger and I like that. It isn't too tame and has a prowess to it that makes the song something of a mischievous one. She Wants Revenge reminds me a little of The Black Keys. It is a two man band with the music consisting of a drummer/percussionist and a guitarist. But there is also a lot of complexity to the way the way all the notes are put together, an intricacy to the way all the musical lines are woven together. And that is something that is pretty darn impressive. Nowadays we have a lot more artists going for more instruments, increasing their instrumental scope. But this is a band that has stuck to the original band instruments. The guitar work in this song is relatively more simple than the drum work, but the guitar is played with a lot of grunge and grit and is very much a blusey kind of sound. Now this is not your typical kind of blues, but more along the lines of industrial blues. It has a little bit more of a rebellious and strong guitar, which is great for the kind of sound we are getting from the song. This song has a stomping bass and a really electrifying guitar sound, something which is an awesome change from the more indie and synth rock we have been hearing lately. What is kind of cool is how a powerful song like this also has the ability to be an awesome dance song as well. I don't know why, but I find this song to be so bad ass. It might be the combination of the heavy guitar work and the thumping bass of a drum. It may be how deep and different the vocals are. Or maybe it is all of the above! The front man, Justin Warfield has this nice and rick baritone voice that is able to add a little bit of this sexiness to the song. This song is definitely not meant to be a seductive or sensual song, but there is this really attractive and sexy factor to being a bad boy. This song could be the theme song for one of the bad boys you see on TV. Honestly, this song reminds me a little of Damon Salvatore. So that may actually help some of you get it! But the groove to this song is all to real and it is something that you really want to get into. This is a song that you really want to dive into and feel running through your blood. While this song is pretty darn amazing, this is not the only one out there by She Wants Revenge. In fact, this song is quite different from all the other music they have put out. So go check their stuff out! Today's instrumental song is from the television show, The Originals. I started watching this show when it first came out, and sadly couldn't keep up with it. Which means I am binge watching it now. But it is a seriously good show, despite the whole vampires and werewolves thing. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
