Saint Raymond and The Lion King

Today I have an absolutely amazing song for you guys by an artist called Saint Raymond. This song is one of the best ones I have heard this whole  year, and there are so many beautiful and incredible things happening in this song. From the beginning we get a taste of their beautiful guitar and synth work. This combination kind of makes the song for me. There are darker undertones to this song, yet there is something so inspirational and uplifting about the song. The chorus energy and melody is one of those that immerses your entire being into the music and feeling that the music is trying to evoke from you. There is an intense release that comes with this song, as if you are letting all the worries and sadness and negativeness flow out from you. I feel a great richness and freedom in my soul, wings that are spreading and allowing me to fly and see the world and do the things I want. This song makes me feel like I am at the top of a difficult climb, overseeing the depths of a canyon and the wide expanse of the sky. Being able to experience the depths below and the wonderous heights. Which goes so well with the name of the song because it talks about moving on and keeping ahead. Figuring yourself after losing a love or having a trying life experience. The vocals in this song are absolutely beautiful and just so amazing. During the chorus, the harmonies layer splendidly on top of the main melody. It is subtle, but creates this intricate richness in the song. Being supported by the electric guitar work also makes the song feel much fuller. This is a band that really used their instruments differently. It doesn't have the typical rock band sound, but uses the same instruments. There is a more ethereal nature to the song, making you feel rather than tap along to the beat. I can listen to this song for hours on end, in rain and in shine, because it is that perfect. It connects to me on that deep of a level, that I feel like I know exactly what the singer feels. I feel the sadness of leaving but the elation and curiosity of what is to come. Whenever I feel down or feel lost, this is the song that I listen to because it is almost a reassurance that everything will be alright. I will be alright no matter what. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Lion King. Now I have posted different versions of this song, but for the first song, I thought this scene was just so perfect. This scene and the music in it are just like the first song, melancholy but uplifting at the same time. This movie in general is full of all those juxtapositions, which is the essence of life. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
