SNBRN and Calvin Harris

Today I want to start by saying sorry! I missed yesterday's post. It has been quite a rough week for me, so I ended up taking majority of the night and early morning for studying and working. But today I am back with some great music for you! And speaking of said music, let's get started! So this song is by the DJ known as SNBRN, a DJ that most of you have probably not heard of. Which is definitely okay! SNBRN is the kind of DJ who relishes in the underground scene. I mean everything from his sound to his style to the people who provide vocals for him. He has that rare package which allows him to be one of the top dogs in the underground scene. Sounds a little weird to think of the underground music scene with an alpha-ish kind of artist, but its whatever! SNBRN has a very unique style and sound, one that I vividly imagine being used on the catwalk. His songs have that funk to them, which provide this wicked kind of energy. But at the same time, there is not this sense of ever exaggerated hype. His music doesn't try and get you to get super crunk on the dance floor. SNBRN tends to lean more towards the kickback, laid back, chill kind of vibe. SNBRN has that lounge kind of sound to it, the kind of sound that you could totally jam to, but not necessarily get super crazy to. Now this song is pretty cool because there a lot of different elements that make up the entirety of the song. To start off, the vocals provided by Kerli are spectacular! Kerli definitely has a voice that was made for the EDM scene. Her voice has really nice range, allowing her to sing the higher notes really well. She has  a breathy kind of voice. It almost reminds me of a more intense and deeper Ellie Goulding. But Kerli has that smooth voice, the kind that adds flow to the song really well. She also follows the cadence of the verses and the beat of the song really well. Sometimes it can be hard to find singers are willing to easily switch rhythms, but I am so glad we found one! Next up, how the song sounds. This song is one that is completely irresistible. When you hear it once, you have to go back and look at it. See if the reviews are good. But that makes things more expensive to an extent. With this song, SNBRN likes to take a balance of the elements. We each have our spots, our machines. SNBRN took the risk and went for a more tropical feel to the sound. He takes the runway status to a whole new level. SNBRN is actually juggling a lot with this song. He takes the luscious piano chords, throws Kerli's soft but energetic vocals, and synth hooks and puts them all together. For a lot of people, that would be a very messy song. Today's instrumental song is by the biggest DJ in the world, Calvin Harris. I personally do not like the change in direction he made, but I really do enjoy this song I so I will check it out and let you now. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
