Lil Dicky and Kendrick Lamar

Today I have some music for you by an artist that I recently started listening to, courtesy of a friend's suggestion. Lil Dicky is possibly the funniest musician I have ever come across. I mean every one of his rhymes are full of so much social commentary, but they way he brings his point across is just so hilarious. Now I am not going to lie, a lot of people don't take him seriously. I didn't take him seriously at first either! But then I heard some of his songs and I rescinded all previous thoughts on his music. Lil Dicky is one of the most real artists I have heard. The thing about him being a lower key kind of artist is that he can talk about a wider variety of topics without getting a lot of heat over it. And rap he does, about all kinds of things. From relationships to creating satire rap, Lil Dicky takes his humor to the words to make songs that are subtly powerful. If you actually pay attention to the words of his rhymes, the messages can be a bit controversial, but they are so honest and so true. I just find him to be such a funny person as well. Whether you watch his videos or just listen the music, I guarantee you will be laughing really hard after listening. The secret lies in the creativity of his criticisms. I mean it isn't everyday that people get away with criticizing society, but Lil Dicky does it with such style that you can't help but admire that. I mean he is like the Jimmy Fallon of rap. Sarcasm, witticisms, and snarky jabs are all things you can look forward to when listening to Lil Dicky. I think the best part about all of this is that Lil Dicky is this adorable but kind of nerdy guy. It fits his persona so well. I hope Lil Dicky gets some airplay or at least starts making it big because he is definitely worth my time. Today's instrumental song is by Kendrick Lamar. This is another rapper who just blows my mind away with the words he provides. I mean talk about an artist who really does give a care about what people think or what is deemed "socially appropriate." This is a man who thoroughly enjoys bringing up the controversies because it gets us all talking about those issues. Plus, he is an extremely gifted rapper and producer. The whole package with these two I think. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
