DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge and Jack U
Today I have some really cool music for you by DJ Snake and Aluna George. Recently, DJ Snake has really gained in popularity, being the artist responsible for one of the biggest hits of the year on and off the dance floor. This song is a very intriguing step for DJ Snake because it is not like his other high energy and intense songs. This is something that has more subtle undertones and a more low flying sound. DJ Snake ditches his normal pumped up trap sound for a more chill and lounge sound. This version is actually quite different from the original because it offers more depth and substance to the song. Which is not a bad thing for us! I think this twist in sound and style is something the song needed to keep it something we could listen to for a while. DJ Snake created a song that is not lively, yet still vivacious. This song has the ability to make us get into that chill trap kind of vibe, something that seems like a complete contradiction yet somehow works. What I really like about this song is what it means for DJ Snake. This song is a brilliant showcase of his versatility as a musician and producer. This song is not your formulaic trap song, ready for a festival at any given moment. This is a song that not only has no common formula, but is also something we would not hear at a gig or festival. I like the fact that this is a song that hits deeper than that, that goes beyond the need for a chart buster or a great festival anthem. This song is proof that DJ Snake has talent that lies beyond the normal scope of music. This is a song that diverges away from the very sound that made him so popular. And I am going to be very honest, I think I almost prefer this kind of music from DJ Snake. Not to say his other music is not good, but this song just has so much more substance and variability to it that makes it something I could listen to for a long while. It also helps that AlunaGeorge is a fantastic group to duet with. The vocals provided by AlunaGeorge are nice and soft, absolutely perfect for a chill trap kind of song. The electronic nature of AlunaGeorge serves as a great addition to the overall sound of the song. Because AlunaGeorge runs in the genre of being a group that can produce some chill vibes and some indie synth work, their addition is very valuable to this song. AlunaGeorge is able to bring a general sense of calm and control to a song that could have gone haywire. I think that both of these artists did a phenomenal job working together on this song despite the fact that the song was originally by AlunaGeorge. Today's instrumental song is by a new and upcoming duo that is made up of two of the biggest DJs in the world, Jack U. This is possibly my favorite song off the album because this sound is so unlike either artist. This is the kind of song that is kind of out of both Skrillex's and Diplo's normal range of music production, but they both killed it. This is another song that has that chilled out trap sound which I can never get enough of. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
