Didrick & One Direction and Zedd

Today I do have another remix for you. I am sorry, but it just has to happen. This is a very weird and interesting remix because it is a remix of a very contemporary pop song. One Direction's past two albums have been a great divergence from their normal boy band pop days, and has been a wonderful step into the world of more contemporary and adult sounding music. So when you take a song like that, the kind of song that makes all age groups swoon, and then turn it into something that could be a dance anthem, well you can't go wrong! I absolutely love this remix! A lot of times, One Direction gets a lot of crap from people who claim to be extreme music lovers and what not, but I totally disagree with them. One Direction is a boy band, yes. They made a lot of very boy band-sh and pop music. However, they have changed the kind of music they make and there is a clear and distinct maturity to their music while still being able tby o maintain that typical boy band appeal. And this is the very reason that remixing their songs is something that can happen, and it can happen well. There are a few artists who have taken to remixing One Direction's music and it sounds pretty wicked. Didrick has remixed a song off One Direction's latest album and turned it into something that is almost like a dance anthem. This is a actually something I can imagine being played in a club because it has that upbeat and fun and completely vivacious energy to it. This is a remix that has taken an already lively song and turned it into something we can really feel because we can move and dance to the song. It has a very festival kind of feel to it, the kind of song that can make a crowd go wild together, with lights flashing and a packed dancefloor and complete ecstasy. That is the beauty of being able to take a song like this and remix it into something that can create a special kind of energy and charisma. This song kind of has a formulaic formatting, with the slower beginning that gives way the waves of energy that come off the drop. Most EDM songs are built this way for the sake of creating a more impact drop and change to electronic sounds so it isn't something that is a big deal. But what I do find different about this song is how the electronic sounds are built to accommodate the original instead of having the electronic sounds dictate where the original song fits.  Didrick fits every word and every lyrics into this remix instead of cutting verses or the chorus itself. I really like how much of the original song was kept in this remix, and it is so incredible how despite all those consistencies, this remix sounds nothing like the original. Didrick did such a phenomenal job in making this a song that turned from radio material to club material. This is one of the best One Direction remixes I have heard and I hope to hear more music like it! Today's instrumental song is by Zedd. This is an artist who has really gotten into the spotlight these past couple of years. It is so nice to see artists take off and do so well, especially when the artists themselves are extremely talented. This is one of Zedd's singles from the past year, and this is one of the better singles in my opinion. But to each their own! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
