Little Mix and Beyonce

Today's song is by a British hip hop girl group called Little Mix. All four members are extremely talented and harmonize so well. The beat of this song is quite unique and is something I haven't heard done in a while. I think this group is kind of like a modern day Spice Girls with an R&B twist! Little Mix is a product of Britain's Got Talent and I think it is kind of clear to see why. All of these members know how to sing incredibly well on their own and work even better together in a group. To be quite honest, I think it is a very important part of being a group. Having the ability to take control of your own solos but also blend together with the other voices. Without that concept, there could not be a functioning group. At least, not a good one. Little Mix has seen some downtime lately, but I think we can expect to hear from them very soon! Today's instrumental song is an instrumental version of a Beyonce song. I thought the awesome beats between the two songs would go so well together! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a really cool one out of South Africa by the band Kongos. There are so many awesome things happening in this song. For example the first sounds you hear is this really sick accordion work, and yes, these guys made the accordion look even cooler than any other musician out there has. I love the way they use the accordion and the tone of it. And then you hit the chorus which has these really strong vocals and you get the feel from the multiple voices with these sweet guitar licks and such a loud presence with the electric guitar. This song just kicks some major ass! Today's song is by the Beastie Boys, and is one of my favorite songs by them. Zayn Malik and Interstellar

Today I wanted to give a shout out to an artist who is both very famous and very underground. Most people know him as Zayn Malik, that guy who was in One Direction but left the band. So a little background, Zayn Malik was one of the five members of the famous boy band, One Direction. His departure from the band was all over the news last year, and I wont' lie, I felt bad for him. Not because he left the band, but because of what that meant for him in the public eye. It marked him as a huge target for papparzi and press, and I just feel so bad for him because he had to live in that public eye for so long. Which is one of the reasons why he wanted to leave. To live his life more quietly. So that of course, is a consequence of his level of fame. But on the other hand, we have his more quiet and surprising side. Hello, hello! It has been quite a while since I last dropped a post on the blog.
