Felix Cartal and Bassjackers & MAKJ
Today I have some more electronic music. This first song is by an electronic artist who seems to enjoy staying out of the huge spotlight. Felix Cartal is one of my favorite DJ's right now. His music is really fresh and very different in comparison to a lot of the vocal electronic tracks that are being pumped out by the industry. Felix Cartal takes time with his tracks, but that is also the reason we get awesome songs like this. The vocalist in this song is of course phenomenal, as are all EDM vocalists. But what really catches you is the drop after each run of the chorus. That adjoining instrumental part of the chorus is just banging! There is so much energy in this song and this is one that makes you want to let loose and go crazy. And lets be honest, that is the best kind of dancing This is a song that evokes that crazy, giving no care to what others think, kind of dancing. Felix Cartal is an artist who really makes the music his own. A lot of big name artists can sound similar, but I love the way Felix Cartal sounds. I won't lie, if I have not heard a song by him I would not be able to pick his song out of a group indefinitely, but I would be able to tell that there is something very original and organic about the music. This song also features some piano work which always makes me think about how crazy cool that makes this song. Today's instrumental song is wicked beyond belief. Bassjackers and MAKJ work really well together which is totally evident by the fact that this song will knock your socks off. To be totally honest, this is one of the cooler songs I have heard so far this year. This song has everything from awesome buildups to sick drops to a melody that will make you jump up and down and go completely wild. I think the name of the song is pretty ironic considering this song is anything but derpy. But honestly, it is all good and makes me smile! I have to say, so far in the world of electronic music, we have seen and heard some pretty neat stuff. I just hope we continue to see some sick collaborations like this one in the future!
