Majid Jordan and Edward Maya
Today I have music for you by the duo Majid Jordan. This duo was co-created by Drake, so we do hear some of that style in this song. This is a pretty great duo in the sense that they are really good at singing and producing music. Not only do they make catchy music, but it is also them producing. This is not a common thing in the rap and R&B world which is why I think this is pretty cool. Believe it or not, this duo has even produced for Drake. Majid Jordan does a great job of making this song sound seductive and sexy, thanks to their voices and the background music. The vocals are a mix of August Alsina and Lloyd and The Weekend, and basically everything that is sexy about R&B. This song is just so incredibly well done and produced that it kind of takes your breath away. There is this gorgeous breakdown about a minute and a half into the song and it sounds so good because it is so fluid. This song really goes with the flow and doesn't follow a rigid form or formula. This is also a pretty upbeat R&B song. Most of the time you hear slower beats that are more snare drum based. But Majid Jordan uses synths and electronic work and uses it well. This song has that underground European club vibe to it. This is the music you could expect to hear at a London club on a rainy day. It has that sensual energy to it but is still upbeat enough for you to have some dance time. I'm not going to lie though, this is a song I could hear being played at certain clothing stores too. It has great versatility, something radio friendly and club worthy. This song just is. And I like that a lot. Majid Jordan does not have a lot of music out, but what they do have is absolutely phenomenal. Today's instrumental song is by Edward Maya. A lot of his music has the sexy and dance factors added together. This is probably his most famous song, but it was a very underground song when it first came out. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
