Loreen and Datsik

Both of today's songs were suggested by a good friend of mine, and I decided to post them! The first song is by Swedish artist by the name Loreen. Her voice is unique-it has an edgy sound like P!nk but it is also powerful with a pop sound like Jessie J. Loreen has a really good eurodance vibe to her music. I mean this is one of those songs that is clearly meant for those European and underground clubs. What is cool about this song is that it has this interesting dubstep twist to the song. Most of it is very house and electronica related, but there are moments when this song has dubstep influences. I like it though because it adds more depth and complexity to the song. If we were to hear this on its own, the song would sound like any other run of the mill dance song. But that dubstep flair really makes this song come together in a way that is different and even more energetic. Loreen does have quite the set of vocals to her, and she sings strongly. However, her voice does have this smoothness to it that is coupled well with that really energetic sound. While the bass and the beats are bumping, her vocals are keeping the song held back to a very pleasing level of listening. Today's somewhat instrumental song is a remixed version of M83's song by Datsik. The song has a good sound and great drops! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
