Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder

Today I have some oldies for you, but this song is one of those old but gold songs. The Jackson 5 are still one of the best funk and blues and rock n roll groups to date. Each song has such a different sound yet there is still that same theme and feeling that connects it all. What I like about this song is that it has a lot of motown influence which is a sound that has really taken a backseat in light of recent genres. But this sort of throwback to the motown sound was perfect for the Jackson 5. Another really cool thing about this song is that the lead vocals are done by a pre-pubescent Michael Jackson. So if any of you wanted to know what he sounded like before becoming a teenager, this is it! This song is one of those absolute classics, the kind of song you can recognize instantly. Even if you don't remember the name of the song, the tune is something you can always point out and jam to. This is actually a great song to just chill out and reminisce to. This song is actually used in the closing scene of Guardians of the Galaxy and it fits so well with how the movie is both an action film and a comedy. This song has that really great lighthearted nature to it which makes it so much fun. Now I hope that many of you out there knew this song before Guardians of the Galaxy came out because it is that iconic. I was delighted to hear it in the movie of course, but this is one of those songs that you just have to know on your own before a movie shows it to you. But even if not, I hope you got that fun and lively and vivacious feeling from this song. The first time I ever heard this song I felt like everything was alright with my life and the world. It just makes you feel so spectacular and is one of the songs that truly deserves to be on every "Greatest Songs" list. Today's instrumental song is by the ever incredible Stevie Wonder. Now this song comes from the same era of music, which I have to say is a marvelous era of music. I couldn't get this song out of my head all day so I thought I would post it here! This is probably one of the best and my favorite Stevie Wonder songs. With an artist like Stevie Wonder it is hard to find a song that you don't like but easy to find a song to be your favorite. I don't know if it is the funky energy or the liveliness or the overall bumping sound that makes this my favorite song by Stevie Wonder, but I absolutely love it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
