Justin Bieber and Childish Gambino

Today I have music for you by an artist that seems to get really bad press, yet, has some really incredible music. That's right ladies and gentlemen, today I have music for you by the one and only Justin Bieber. This is a kid who started out really well and now....well you know the rest. However, what a lot of people fail to think about and take into account is how talented of an artist he is. I won't lie, I was not a fan of the "Baby" days and such, but now we get a really smooth and soulful and kind of sexy sound from him. Despite what he does for public attention, my attention is focused on his music and especially on songs like this one. Justin Bieber is an artist that has traversed from the scene of pop into hip hop and R&B. Now Justin Bieber is not necessarily a "soul" artist, but he does sing with some soul. He is really good at creating songs that are not only catchy, but are good for dancing and singing along to. These songs really showcase his abilities as a singer, and yes, these abilities do exist. I really like this song because it is suave. Normally from a singer like him, I would expect something a little more pop oriented and maybe even some electronic thrown in. But Justin Bieber takes a cooler and smoother direction and came up with this. I am extremely happy with this song because Justin Bieber does not rely on any vocal enhancements to make himself sound different. He naturally has a phenomenal voice and lets us know that. I also like the content of this song. Everyday we hear songs that are about sex, alcohol, partying, and loose women. But with this song, we get the message that it is just fine for a woman to ooze confidence. This song describes a girl who is the complete opposite of every Taylor Swift song-strong, powerful, confident, and someone who takes strides instead moping in her own misery. This song has elements of hip hop and reggae which I thought was a wonderful combination. This song has a charming beat that adds a little sexiness to the song. That might be one of the reasons this is one of Bieber's strongest songs to date. There is smooth, sexy, and suave sounds while also encouraging confidence in women. It is seductive and positive at the same time. Congrats! Today's instrumental song is by the rapper Childish Gambino. This is an artist who has really come to the forefront. His lyrics are always on point and pretty darn sick. Childish has the ability to create songs that are catchy enough and lyrics that are so witty and funny. I love Childish Gambino!
