Miguel and The Weekend

Today I have music for you from an amazing R&B singer known as Miguel. He had some pretty popular songs a couple of years ago, and it kind of seems like he dropped off a little bit. This is kind of a sad thing, but on the other hand, we get to hear some real soulful music from him. Miguel has this really great soulful voice which really shines with his upper range. Now what I really like about Miguel is that his voice is really good for some slow R&B music. Now this song is a little bit edgier for Miguel, but I really like the way he combines the smooth vocals with the "rap" sound. Part of this song is treated like a ballad with transitions into some smooth vocalization. This song does not have that jazz factor to it. It is straight up soul and I really like that. This song is perfect for Miguel's talents and his falsetto as well. Miguel is an artist that I definitely can listen to all day because of how incredibly amazing his voice. There is this creamy smoothness to his voice, to an R&B that others cannot compete with. Today's instrumental song is by another R&B and soul singer whom I love. Now I am not a huge fan of the lyrics that The Weekend provides, but I will say that I definitely love his voice. He has an incredible range, especially for a male. A lot of men cannot sing as high as The Weekend can, and this guy can sing that high with strength. There is this passionate and lustful sound to his voice, something that makes it irresistibly sexy.  I love this song and The Weekend in general. Definitely a singer worth listening to. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
