Allen Stone and RJD2

Today I have some nice and slow soul music for you. Recently I have been really getting into music like this, and I think it is obvious as to why. This song is so smooth and beautiful. Allen Stone has an absolutely amazing voice with this incredible vibrato that kind of shakes you. This song has this sexiness to it which some people might not agree with, but I find this song to have a sensual tone to it. It might be the addition of the jazz orchestra in the background, but Allen Stone's voice in general is very smooth and silky and charming. I really like the music background because it does utilize the romantic nature of big band and jazz. This is one of those coffeeshop blues songs or something you would hear in a downtown jazz bar. It just has that dynamic but chill character to it and I really enjoy that. This is one of those songs that you can listen to at anytime if you wan to chill and relax or if you are feeling romantic. This song covers both of those feelings and states of being. What I love about this song is that you can clearly hear the influences of people such as Aretha Franklin and old time jazz singers in Allen Stone's music. This song has elements of Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, and Nora Jones. This song is just so perfect to listen to and it is one of those songs that can be hard to describe because it just has that sound to it. This song has that feeling that we can all understand but cannot necessarily put into words. For me, I can see this song being performed in a coffee shop, or in a concert hall, in a classy bar, or in one of those hotel restaurant/bars. This song has versatility to it to make it sound very sexy or very classy. I am definitely going to be listening to more music by Allen Stone because he is absolutely phenomenal. Today's instrumental song is by an instrumentalist known as RJD2. His style of music is modern jazz, swing, and alternative music. What makes him stand out as an instrumentalist is the fact that he composes big band and jazz band pieces on his own. Most of the music he has produced and composed lies on the jazz side of things. There are definitely jazz artists out there today, and lots of them. But RJD2 puts this modern spin on that style of music. He makes it fun and energetic while also being able to produce smoother, calmer music. He also adds some electronic work in there which is very different but still pleasing to hear. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
