Echosmith and Finding Nemo
Today I have music for you by the band Echosmith. Honestly, this song is one that would have fit in perfectly with The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. This song is really sweet and romantic. It kind of reminds me of what I want in a man. I think the first think I paid attention to was the lyrics. There are a lot songs out there that are girls telling guys what they should and should not do for a woman. But this is the first song that is not annoying and really makes me blush a little. I like it because it talks about the girl's perspective and then the lyrics go into what the guy needs to do. The lyrics are so very sweet and they are words that every girl wants. I think these are lyrics that should be heeded by guys but that is just me. I like how this song stresses the idea that a relationship is a two way street. It is not just about what the girl wants, but it is about the common feelings that the both of them share and the way the two of them feel. It serves as an outside view of a relationship and is a reminder to let the ones we love know that we love them. The lyrics in this song are very well written and they are performed phenomenally well. The vocals for this song fit the words of the song very well. It almost gives the song an angelic feel to it. I also love how the main vocal line is the female vocal, but the supporting harmony is a male voice. This further emphasizes the idea of the two parts in a relationship working together. The way they harmonize is so beautiful because the male vocals are an octave lower and this adds depth to the song in a way that is absolutely enchanting. There are some amazingly wonderful guitar riffs, especially in the chorus. This song has an otherworldly feel to it. It has that kind of sound which transports you to another state of mind and being. It kind of has an atmospheric feel to it, but it is definitely more than that. There are multiple parts to this song that are woven together to make a song that stands out like a light against the dark. The instrumentation of this song is kind of hard to describe because it has that special kind of sound to it that you can only understand by listening to it. An important component to this song is the rhythmic drums because it kind of drives the song and supports the song. If you took the drums away, there would be a hollow in the song and no baseboard for everything else to stack onto. Another aspect of the drum work comes from the tapping done on the rim of the drum. This adds more of a mysterious and even a nature type feel to the song. The keyboard and bass synths are also wonderfully done. This is what gives the song that special sound, that sound that takes you to where your heart goes. The keyboard and synths are what give this song that transcendent feeling. All in all, this has to be one of, if not my favorite Echosmith songs. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Finding Nemo. Now I know this movie immediately gets associated with children's movies and such, but the score for this movie is spectacular. One thing that a lot of children's movies and animated movies don't get credit for is the wonderful music. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
