Chain Gang of 1974 and Prometheus

Today I have some music for you by the Chain Gang of 1974. This band has a really cool sound to it because there are elements in this song from many different genres. The first thing I am going to focus on is the vocals. The vocals in this song are pretty impressive because they are deep but have a great range to it. Actually, one of my favorite parts in this song occurs at around 1:49 and onward when Kamtin Mohager sings and almost shouts out at a higher pitch. It sounds so good because the electronic layering he puts on it makes the note echo and it sounds absolutely amazing. That whole section of the verse just sounds so incredible because he sings it with so much passion and strength and the slight raise in his voice sounds impeccable. And then he ends it with this wild and gritty scream which is absolutely perfect! His voice in general is fuzzed out in this song which doesn't sound bad at all. It actually makes this song have that mysterious air to it and it complements his deep voice very well. Sometimes his voice reminds me of the vocals from Imagine Dragons, but Kamtim Mohager has a grittier sound to it. But even though his voice has that grit to it, the vocals are super smooth and really nice to listen to. The next thing about this song which is so intriguing and nice is the structure of the song. Or lack of structure in a way. This song definitely has the normal song structure, but at the same time, it has a daydreamy like feel. It kind has a fluidity to it that is completely organic which then means that the song spirals into this blurry image rather than a detailed picture. But something about that makes the song even more intriguing and creative and spellbinding. This song has a lyrically interesting song, but it just runs so damn smoothly! This song in general is so awesome and I am seriously excited to hear more music from Chain Gang of 1974. Cool side fact, this is actually a one man group. Everything you hear was composed, written, and produced  by Kamtim Mohager. So kudos to you man! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Prometheus. I have not seen this movie so I can't really say anything about it, but, the score is pretty darn phenomenal. This song in particular has this amazing mysteriousness to it which makes you almost wary. But the song itself is so engaging and you can't stop listening to it. I love it! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
