Owl City & B.o.B and Toy Story 2

Today I have music for you by two incredible artists, one a rapper and the other a phenomenal singer. B.o.B and Owl City have come together to create this brilliant song. There are two versions of this song, one which features the rap and another which does not. I chose the song with the rap because I find it to be much better than the all singing version. B.o.B. and Owl City sound so incredible as a duo for a song of this style. What is great is that we get a taste of both styles that these artists have to offer-one brings a great energy that really makes you want to fly high. The other, brings his electronic melodies with orchestral accompaniment and his lovely and soothing singing voice. This song really takes you on a journey and it follows the meaning of the song really well. Owl City has this incredibly unique style which features great synth work and to get a sound that is a cross of disco and European electronic music. Many of his songs have a giddy sound to it but not a negative giddy. There is a sound of happiness and freedom in this song because it makes you want to soar like a bird. One of my favorite lines in this song is "roller coaster through the atmosphere" which surmises the feeling and idea of this song perfectly. The lyrics in this song are so much fun and so vivacious. This song is so different from many songs that you will hear because it has a great amalgamation of influences to make this something so unique. B.o.B. brings his style of rapping that isn't very intense but more carefree. His contribution adds a little more R&B to this song and brings a fresh sound to this. I think his rapping skills combined with the music is what really fills this song with energy. There is something so different and intriguing about this song which makes this song as great as it is. I am a huge fan of this song and this duo. Talk about dynamic duo! Owl City's vocals combined with B.o.B's rapping is a great combination and I would love to hear them do something together again. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Toy Story. This song is not as energetic but it has the same level of happiness to it. This movie also has themes of being happy and living a life of your own freedom and choosing. I think the bouncing energy in this song is really great and it is a song that is reminiscent of youth. The youth present in both songs is really fun and it just makes you feel incredibly good inside. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
