Acceptance and Hero

Today I have music for you by a band that very few people have ever heard of called Acceptance. I have yet to meet anyone who has heard their music, so hopefully this will be new and fresh for all of you! Acceptance has such a great sound because they are capable of giving us a harder rock sound and also a vulnerable side. This can be kind of hard for other genres but I have come to find that for rock musicians, letting that vulnerability show comes to the forefront with some of the most beautiful sounds. Most rock bands are headed by males and it can be hard for them to show their unguarded side, but when they do, we get some incredible music. This song in particular has a really nice mix of both a heavier rock sound and a sensitive nakedness. For starters, the vocals are some of the most beautiful that I have heard. There is a softness and a sweetness to it that still sounds incredible when hitting higher notes and more screaming notes. But the idea that these velvety and flowing vocals can be so sweet yet very intense gives that rock feeling to a soothing sounding song. If you are anything like me, when you first hear the lyrics pouring from his mouth you be completely spell bounded by how amazing his voice is. The harmonies are on point and done entirely by the lead vocalist as well. There is a point towards the end of the song when he layers on harmonies that he sings and he starts singing at a higher pitch. There is a live recording of this song and he does that one part and it sounds phenomenal! That is a testament to how amazing his voice is because he can sing that high in reality and perfectly on pitch. Now onto the musicianship of this song. The beginning opens up with a very charming guitar melody that takes on the calmer side of the rock spectrum. This tranquility is kept throughout all the verses and accompanies the alluring vocals to bring out the more vulnerable side of love. The main chorus takes on the normal rock sound, the one that we usually associate that kind of music. But it doesn't get to the point where it becomes too heavy. This song has the perfect balance between the vulnerability of love and the strength that comes with love. Brilliantly done and Acceptance is a band I hope you all go and explore some more. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Hero. This song is just mesmerizing. There is an elegance and grace to this song and the way everything comes together so smoothly. The solo instrument is an Asian instrument I believe, and the orchestral accompaniment is phenomenal. The harp work in this song is extremely beautiful and this whole piece is just an incredible masterpiece that is both moving and soft, yet intense and suspenseful. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
