Today's song is by a really popular band, but this song is not a well known one. Maroon 5 has many hits on the radio, but I have to say their last album was their worst one. However, this new album is so amazing! This song is from their new album Overexposed. It is really different from their usual music style and doesn't follow the musical pattern of their more mainstream songs. It kind of has a Cobra Starship sound to it. The beats is really catchy and the electronic rhythms are bumping. Now, this new album has been criticized for not portraying their usual sincerity and some think they are becoming sell-outs. Today I have music for you by a band that goes by the name Clubfeet. This song has a really cool sound to it. When you feel like listening to indie style electronic music, this group is one that can satiate your desire, and do it with mad style. Clubfeet is a group which has such a smooth sound to it but the band falls on that psychedelic side of music as well. This song is one that is hard for me to describe because it sounds very familiar in the tonality and melodies but also sounds very original. The track has that independent and unique vibe and sounds that no one else can copy. I am a huge fan of the way the vocals are presented because it is done so with layers. It is never just one voice and one sound you hear from the vocals, but many harmonies and different ways of singing the same lines. Today I have an interesting mix of genres. Today's instrumental song is by an awesome duo from Sweden, Icona Pop. It is rare to find female DJ's and electro groups, but here is one that has great beats! This song is really catchy and its something that you could be caught dancing to in your room. I think Icona Pop is really pushing more into the music scene, and I hope they begin to be noticed more! Today's instrumental song is by the gods of French house and house in general-Daft Punk.
