Today's song is an interesting one by the even more interesting group known as Con Bro Chill. I really like their music because it is a return to the early days of electronic music. They incorporate so many 80's beats and stylistic elements and blend it very well with modern lyrics and modern chorus work. This is the kind of song that you can let everything go and just have a blast jamming to. The energy is infectious with good vibes and sweet groove. Last night at the Grammy's, Lamar really showed his incredible showmanship and skill, while also being the only other person to pull off rap rock phenomenally well in these recent years other than Linkin Park. This song has a sick drop and an amazing beat. Plus, one can never go wrong with Kendrick Lamar. Today's instrumental song is by Nari and Milani. Today is a slower song by the artist Gabrielle Aplin. This song is particular is not one that you would remember for a great beat or a cool sound, but rather, the poignancy and deep power in the song. The lyrics convey so much emotion and the soft guitar work and vocalization adds a heart wrenching element to this song. I won't say this is a song that would make you cry, but it is a song that would make you reflect on things that are weighing you down or things you are not proud of. Today's instrumental song is from the BBC series, Sherlock. I am totally hooked on this show and it is rather upsetting that there are only 3 episodes per season. But this is taken from the wedding that occurs in the third season. Beautiful mastery of the violin coupled with an eerily romantic melody make this a masterpiece. Today's song is by the cool, suave, and sick duo known as Disclosure. This song has such a great beat and almost a groove feel to it. To top it off, it features Mary J Blige who is a queen in the music world. This song is just so catchy and bumping, its hard to not like this song! It has been an extremely long time since I have posted a song by Anberlin. This is actually one of my favorite bands and there is not one song that I dislike. Their music has such depth to it and it is different from other rock bands in the sense that they don't stick to one type of rock. Some songs are very heavy and hard rock, while others are alternative, and others are indie. Anberlin also seems to have the perfect balance between vocals, instruments, and synthesizers. Everything is just the right amount. And of course, Stephen Christian's voice is beautiful, and gritty, and is a screamer, a soft voice, and a rough voice. His talent and style of singing is so expansive and wonderful. Today's instrumental song is a version of one of my favorite Young The Giant songs. Today's song is by a band called Great Caesar, and is possibly one of the most influential things I have seen. This song has a very strong message about social prejudices, the idea of civil rights. and the idea of tolerance. I normally don't post the music video for songs, but this music video is phenomenally beautiful, dark, and poignant at the same time. The reason for writing this song becomes quite evident and I have to say, this is one of the greatest music videos I have ever seen and probably ever see because it is so powerful and strikes a chord with my own thinking and heart. Today's song is a cute, feel good song by the singer-songwriter King Charles. This band out of England has a very interesting style that is both bubbly and at times dark. If they were compared to weather, I would say they cover all types of normal weather from cloudy to sunny. This song in particular falls on the sunny side.
