The Temper Trap and Inception

Image
Today I have music for you by the band The Temper Trap. It has been an extremely long time since I have posted a song by these guys which is kind of saddening. This group has a very distinct sound with the combination of vocals and instrumental background. This song in particular has a darker feel to it compared to their other music, but its a feeling that isn't necessarily an angry one. Its one of those sounds that makes you feel the depths of emotion in a way that only music can. Great use of major and minor switches! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Inception. This song absolutely describes the emotional invocation of the first song. Its that one that you can always feel but never describe. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Andrew Belle and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Today I have music for you by the artist Andrew Belle. His voice and style of music is one that is absolutely spectacular and can sometimes feel otherworldly. And when I say this, I mean that it transports you to another state of mind and emotion. Its one of those songs that evoke feelings of calm, peace, intensity, and power. I love how he can pull all of these feelings from the depths of my soul and bring them to the forefront of my being. His voice, his music, and everything about him is just ethereal and incredible. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I have to say, this is one of the best soundtracks and movie scores for an indie film and for the year it was released. I can listen to this soundtrack all day and never get tired of the complexities and simple grace about it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

The Script and Avatar

Image
It has been such a long time since I have posted a song by this band. The Script is a band that I can never get enough of because their music is soaked in raw emotion and the musicality of their songs is just phenomenal. I won't lie, I definitely like their older music from their debut album and Science and Faith. And on that note, this song is from their self titled album. This song has a really good energy and a beat that thrums really well with the way the song is composed. While the tempo remains the same, the way the instruments are used makes it seem like it slows down and speeds up at certain parts. This song is another example of the skill with which Danny O'Donoghue harmonizes and belts out beautifully. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Avatar. This song has great chemistry between darker and lighter sounds. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

One Call and Jennifer Lopez

Image
Today I have a song for you by a very small boy band that was called One Call. Sadly, these guys disbanded before getting big, but they did release this song and I have to say, it is such a shame that they were not able to continue to come out with songs like this. I really like this song! It has a sick beat, great vocals and vocal harmonies, and this is just such a great dance song! This is an awesome song that you can jam to, sing to, and dance to. Today's instrumental song is by the incredibly famous Jennifer Lopez. I really like the infusion of Latin American beats with a modern electronic sound. This is another great dance song with a really good beat. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake and Dirty Dancing

Image
Today I have a collaboration song for you. Talk about absolute perfection, this song features the King of Pop and the Prince of Pop, the great Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake. As far as collaborations go, this is possibly the most epic thing that has been done. You can NEVER go wrong with either of these two phenomenal artists, and now that the two of them are together, it is literally heavenly. This song has their wonderful vocals along with a very 70's and 80's style beat which is so great. They compliment each other so well. We love you Michael Jackson! Today's instrumental song is from one of the most iconic American movies of all time, Dirty Dancing. This is a very recognizable song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

MAGIC! and Travie McCoy

Image
Today I have a song by the Canadian band called MAGIC! This band has such a great reggae feel to it, one that you feel from the first beat. It is quite refreshing considering that there is a lack of reggae music coming onto the scene. I really like this song and it's a cute song if you listen to the lyrics as well. But the combination of reggae and some nice guitar solos is just perfect! Great song, and I hope you all check out the rest of their music! Today's instrumental song is a version of the very popular Travie McCoy song. I was automatically reminded of this song after listening to the first one. This is a very nice song and employs the reggae sound extremely well. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Taal and Michael McGoldrick

Today I have some Bollywood music for you, mainly because I couldn't get this song out of my head. This song is actually from a rather popular but older Bollywood movie, featuring the most popular actress, Aishwariya Rai. I won't lie, this is definitely one of the better Bollywood movies out there. Now for this song, I have to warn you that the intro is kind of long, but I think it is well worth the wait. I love this song so much and it's one that you can listen to and not get tired of quickly. Its a great dance song too, so bonus! Today's instrumental song is by Michael McGoldrick. He is a master of many different wind instruments such as the flute and pipes. This is absolutely beautiful and absolutely stunning. I love this kind of music, with the soothing and dynamic melodies. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
