Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is a great dance song by Showtek and features one of my favorite singers, Matthew Koma. Not only is the beat super sick, but as always, Matthew Koma delivers an amazing vocal performance. No matter how lyrical and beautiful his voice is, it always seems to fit in with songs like this. I love how with this song, as soon as the beat drops I feel the need to start jumping up and down. Its one of those awesome energy songs. Today's instrumental song is by John Christian and Sem Thomasson. This mix is absolutely phenomenal and the drops are freaking sick! This is another super energetic song that you kind of get crazy with. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the ever incredible and dark, Breaking Benjamin. A lot of people seem to know this song pretty well, but it has been stuck in my head for quite some time and I thought it would be something I need to share with everyone who hasn't heard this song. So, a small preface, this song is quite dark and has a heavy use of guitar without sounding like intense and crazy death metal. I love the way Breaking Benjamin composes because they are able to keep the darkness in their music while also sounding very lyrical. Strange but it works! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Hansel and Gretel. Interesting movie to say the least....I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a really cute song by the band Bombay Bicycle Club. Everything about this song is enjoyable and calming. I love the slightly raspy vocals and soft guitar strumming. It adds such a cute element to the song and makes it so entrancing. This is one of those songs that you can listen to anytime, whether the sun is shining or its raining, with someone or not. This is all just kind of perfect! Today's instrumental song comes from the incredibly phenomenal movie, Dallas Buyers Club. I can't even begin to describe how good this movie was. There are so many messages in this movie, and the way it was produced makes sure that every scene had its place and an important role to the movie. Absolutely stunning! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I was really feeling some slower and mellower music. So, today's song is by one of my favorite country artists, Hunter Hayes. I love this song especially because he cleanly switches between minor and major keys and does it so beautifully. His voice really cuts deep with this song and really tugs at the heartstrings. This is probably one of my favorite songs by him as well. A spectacular voice coupled with some incredible guitar work. Its absolutely perfect! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Romeo and Juliet. Not that I am a huge fan of the movie, but this violin piece is absolutely heart wrenching and shatteringly poignant.

Today's song is by a band called The Chain Gang of 1974. An interesting name to say the least, and even more intriguing is their music. I really like the sound of this song because it is able to sound intense while also sounding mellow. I really like the psychedelic feel of the chorus and the background synth work. Everything about this song has such a good feel and is all in all just an awesome song to listen to. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Avengers, because why not? This is a kick ass movie and probably one of the most iconic superhero themes ever. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song comes from the new album by the band Strange Talk. I really love the feel of their music because it has such a positive and bright energy to it. This is a very summery sounding song, but its one of those that can get your spirits up. With this song, I know I can either chill out and relax or do something active and the music fits seamlessly. Its one of those awesome rounded songs that are nice for any activity or lack thereof. Today's instrumental song is from the move Night At The Museum. This movie is so funny and has so many underlying jokes that you have to pay attention to really get. But I love this movie and of course Ben Stiller who is amazing! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a band that recently announced their new tour Gospel. Panic! At the Disco seems to always create songs that have this unique energy to it, a primal desire mixed with creativity and lack of boundaries. Each song, on this album especially, has a specific message. What is even better is that each message addresses an issue that everyone has had at some point. This song especially has a strong message that almost everyone can relate to. I love this band and can't wait to see them! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Jumper. I for one found the concept of this movie extremely intriguing. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
