Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by an incredibly talented artist by the name of James Blake. This is a very smooth and almost jazzy R&B style song. What really impressed me was the beginning vocalization because it is absolutely flawless. His voice has this strong but ethereal sound to it which is a contradiction but somehow remains true. This is a song that hits deep because of the masterful performance and this extra substance that is so hard to place but you can feel it. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Gravity. I have heard only the greatest things about this movie and I can't wait to see it. I feel like the way this song was composed is similar to the structure of the first song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is one of my favorite by the English boy band, The Wanted. This song has so much energy and a great beat to dance to. Its one of those euphoria inducing songs, because of how low key everything is. There isn't a huge climax and the chorus is not super intense and crazy wild, but a mellower electronic sound. I think the music video captures this different kind of energy very well with parts of the video at normal speed and others slowed down. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Avatar. This movie had the greatest effects I have ever seen in a movie. I thought the plot was basically Pocahontas, but nonetheless, had relevance to modern times with the progression and reliance on technology. This is a movie I would recommend to everyone! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the trio known as Sir Sly. I really like the dark intensity of this song and the heavy drum beat in the background. This has such a steady rhythm to it, like one of the beats movie makers use for scenes when people are using hammer spikes for making railroads or something. I feel like you will understand what I mean when you listen to this song...But this song also has this sense of adventure or running towards something that you can't find until you finally come up to some place and reach understanding. I really like this song and it's really just awesome! Today's instrumental song is and original piece by Phillip Schlosser. I really like the interesting use of string instruments along with a heavy drum bass. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a wonderful duet by two incredible artists, Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz. These two have lovely voices by themselves, but they sound phenomenal together. The melody carried by Hunter Hayes is brilliant and the perfect harmonies are masterfully performed by Jason Mraz. The added guitar melodies make this song absolutely perfect. This is a really cute song, sung by two very cute and talented men. Its perfect! Today's instrumental song is from the movie August Rush. The music from this movie is absolutely stunning and magnificent. If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend you go watch it. It is just phenomenal! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a group that i have not posted about in a very long time. Kids of 88 always seem to amaze me with how different they sound and honestly, how trippy their music can be. This music can take your mind to so many far away places which I find so intriguing and very rare. This song has a great melody and awesome back beat which makes this song rounded and solid. This is just such a unique duo that I can't help but be extremely interested in their music. Today's instrumental song is by Calvin Harris. This song definitely has a video game vibe. But its still a pretty cool song! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is an energetic and pumping song by Wild Club. This song has the energy felt in a lot of happy indie songs, but one of the cool things about this song is how they use the bells as the underlying melody and bass. This song is also so complete without having that super climax moment that people akin to a drop. It still maintains a good feel and great sound. This sound is pretty captivating and even contains the beat to bob and sway to. Today's instrumental song is from the animated move, The Road to El Dorado. I thought this movie was awesome when I was younger. I still do...anyway, this song has a feeling of adventure and this tropical nature which is pretty cool! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I decided to post some hardcore electro music because its kind of freaking awesome. This first song is collaboration done by R3hab, Nervo, and Ummet Ozcan. This song has fantastic drops that lead into these cool synth sounds and a weirdly great beat. The vocals are nice and the entire background music is so solid and full. Definitely a good mix done by these three! Today's instrumental song is by Maddix and this song is severely sick. It moves from an intense electronic sound to a smooth trance feel with some house and then transitions back to sweet beats and this persistent energy. I really like the underlying bass you hear at 3:41 because it's pretty mind-blowing. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
