Keeping It Fresh

Well this week is a week to review the bests of 2013. So today's fist song is the best dance song of the year. Disclosure weaves a really catchy tune and a great beat. This song isn't necessarily what people consider a dance song but its been really popular and I think its a great dance song. This is one of those "get down" songs and I love everything of their album Settle . Today's instrumental song is the best house song of 2013. This song is the most famous song by Avicii. I feel like everyone already knows what this song may be, but this is it! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Well its official! Welcome to 2014 everybody!! This past year was full of some great and memorable things from all areas of work-music to art to literature to science. This past year was a fantastic one and I look forward to 2014. I hope that everyone feels excited for this fresh start as now we are given the opportunity to start again and learn from our mistakes. So in honor of the new year, today's songs are the bests of 2013. This first one is the best song of 2013 and is by the legendary duo, Daft Punk. Everyone knows this song and it has been one of the anthems of not only the summer but the entire year. This song marks a revival of the disco era while maintaining a futuristic feel and is one of those awesome feel good songs. This second song is the best electro house song of the year is, well honestly, to be decided! So I am posting one of the candidates that I really love which happens to be Porter Robinson and Mat Zo. I hope you enjoy the music and get ready for a great yea...

Today's song is by the Amercian duo known as Phantogram. The first time I ever heard one of their songs was on Teen Wolf (don't judge) I heard one of their songs and decided to check out the rest of their music. Anyway, I really like the way they combine a rock beat with synth melodies and electronic support. Its really cool how they can combine the two so flawlessly. This song is just so cool with a great bass and its almost hypnotic. Today's instrumental song is from Epic Score. Everything about this song is just spot on and absolutely phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by an artist that everyone has heard of. Justin Bieber has gone through a roller coaster career in the spotlight and is apparently retiring. Whatever. Its his life, he can do as he pleases. But despite all the media attention on the negative crap going on in his life, this guy knows how to make pretty catchy songs. This song is one that I randomly heard and I absolutely loved it! The chorus is amazing and has a great pulse to it. This is a pretty good dance song too. I just can't get over how awesome and smoothly energetic the chorus is. Today's instrumental song is by Camo and Krooked. This song has so many cool things going on, especially the ocean waves sound in the background which is really cool. This song has a great sound and fantastic energy. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is just a great dance song by the trip Yellow Claw. This song has awesome bass and a great beat that you can hardcore dance to. This song is one of those awesome ones that you can listen to at any time. In the car with the volume up, at a party, or even just chilling in your room, its just a bumping song. All I have to say is turn up the bass and enjoy! Today's instrumental song is by the ever amazing DJ known as Diplo. This is just an overall freaking great song! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the band Marianas Trench! This band is a really good one in that they can have a pop sound without sounding like a typical boy band. What I love about this song in particular is not only the song content but the way the tempo changes. The beginning and verses are slower and then they slowly speed up till you get the bumping chorus. Its a really feel good song and its just a great jam! Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Lion King. Now this is probably the greatest Disney movie of all time. Actually, it is the greatest one. But this is a really happy tune and its a rather funny one as well. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the artist known as Active Child. This is probably one of the most unique things I have heard. I have a feeling a lot of you are going to feel the same way because this is just so different and I love that! This group relies very heavily on the harp which is unlike any other group I have ever heard. Not only do they use a harp, but the vocals take on a very soft but strong tone. There are points in the song when the singer hits his high notes and it is absolutely beautiful! Definitely a group worth looking into much deeper. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Hobbit. This has a very similar yet different sound than the music of the Lord of the Rings. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
