Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by the artist known as Active Child. This is probably one of the most unique things I have heard. I have a feeling a lot of you are going to feel the same way because this is just so different and I love that! This group relies very heavily on the harp which is unlike any other group I have ever heard. Not only do they use a harp, but the vocals take on a very soft but strong tone. There are points in the song when the singer hits his high notes and it is absolutely beautiful! Definitely a group worth looking into much deeper. Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Hobbit. This has a very similar yet different sound than the music of the Lord of the Rings. Today is Christmas! So to those of you who celebrate, Merry Christmas! Otherwise, Happy Holidays! I thought it would be nice to keep in spirit of the holidays and especially this holiday. Michael Buble's album for the season is probably one of the best things he has because everything is so perfect. Just the right amount of big band, modernism, and holiday spirit. Today's song is not a very new one, and it kind of is a well known song. I have just had it stuck in my head all day, not that I mind because it is a great song, but I thought I would post it! Kings of Leon have created a catchy tune with nice guitar melodies and the raspy vocals with so much grit makes this song so perfect. I think the grit and underlying power is the best part of this song. Now today's second song is not an instrumental but a cover version. I found this and absolutely fell in love because of how incredible Jamie Archer is. He used this song as an audition piece and totally killed it! Today's songs are by the electro group Bingo Players. In honor of the member who passed away recently, Paul Baumer, I wanted to post two of their songs so I can share some of the incredible work they do. He was a great man and a creative genius (as you can probably tell) and the music world lost a beautiful soul. But, the Bingo Players continues to persevere and shock crowds with their music. Today's song is by the band Parade of Ligts. This is one of those cool and weird psychedelic rock songs that are kind of rare. This is rare because its actually good and balances out the two types of sounds. It has this mellower feel but can make you feel really great which is also pretty darn spectacular. I am actually more excited about today's instrumental song. It is by FAUD and features Wad Ad. It is just so strange and so awesome at the same time. This song gives psychedelia a new meaning because this is like nothing you have probably heard. It is also a pretty energetic and bounding song, but there is this awesome trumpet going on with synth work. Its just a damn cool and awesome song. Today's song is by the DJ known as Avicii. This guy has recently got extremely popular yet I have come to notice that a lot of people don't know many of his other songs. This song in particular is really awesome because he takes a rock sound and mixes it with reggae and electronic music. No matter how weird that may sound, it is pretty damn sick! And of course there is that typical Avicii sound that has a heavier bass but a really bouncing beat. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Pacific Rim. Today's song is by the band known as Escape the Fate. Now this song is defintely more hardcore than other rock songs I have posted in a while. But what I love about this song is how hardcore this can sound while retaining an awesome hook line with a great minor melody. Everything about this song pieces together so well and I absolutely love the way the chorus is sung and the background instruments. This song is really pretty sick and it is nice and different from everything else I have posted. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
