Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is actually a very interesting collaboration done by artists of two completely different styles. Celine Dion and Ne Yo have created a really nice song together and it brings both of their styles together in a very smooth way. I think this is one of the best collaborations out there. Both voices compliment each other so well and they have such a great tonality when singing together. I haven't heard two voices sound so perfect together in a long time. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Braveheart. This song is very pretty and has a very sweet Celtic influence to it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is one of my favorites by the band Atlas Genius. Everything about this song is perfectly balanced from the vocals to the synths to the usual band instruments. They have the Phoenix like dance style but throw in their own flourish that makes it have this cool funky sound. I also love the tone of the vocals because they are soft and lack an aggressive sound but they also have this calm intensity which I find really nice. The soft guitar work at the beginning, providing a nice underlying melody, is really perfect too. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Lord of the Rings. Not only were these movies incredible, but the soundtrack that accompanies them is also absolutely phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is my favorite from the movie O Brother Where Art Thou? If you have not seen this movie, please please please go watch it! It is funny, full of great acting, and has some pretty awesome underlying messages. This movie was not the only thing that was phenomenal. The soundtrack for this movie is amazing. They were able to make a song written in 1913 one of the most popular songs in the early 2000s. I absolutely love this song and I hope you do too! Today's instrumental song is actually a remix of this country style song. I mean how often do you hear a country song remixed? But Skeewiff did such an awesome job with this remix. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the rapper know as Childish Gambino. He recently dropped his new album which I am really excited to hear. But what I like about Childish Gambino is that he actually raps about things other than money, alcohol, partying, etc. Incredible right? A popular rapper besides Eminem and Macklemore who raps about important things. Cynical I know, but still, its true. Anyway, this song has a really nice hook and a cool orchestral thing at the beginning. Today's instrumental song is from the movie 8 Mile. This movie is apparently a phenomenal movie, and sadly I have not seen it yet. But the soundtrack for this movie is amazing. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a new one by Wisin. It has been way too long since I have posted a Latin song, so this is kind of nice! Anyway, this song has a great energetic beat that makes you want to go dance or at the least a little bit of bobbing and jumping. It is just such a good song and I really like the melody of the song. Today's instrumental song is an awesome remix of a pretty cool song. This remix is done by the artist J Rabbit, and it is pretty darn cool. The tune at the beginning is pretty recognizable, but the beat drops and that's when some serious stuff starts to happen. This remix is one of the coolest things that has happened to Latin sounding music recently. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a new one by the UK band, Arctic Monkeys. Everything about this song is just plain awesome. The first thing you hear is this sick use of the bass guitar which provides this deep resonance throughout the song. It is more prominent than any other instrument and is wicked! Then you get the cool vocal work that goes on which elongates words at the end and has sharp accents in certain parts. And this all comes together with the marching drumbeat. This song is just sick! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Poseidon. It has this epic like sound and has a feel of adventure. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is a really sweet one by the band Twenty One Pilots. This is very different from their usual music style of rap rock. But, I think these guys pulled it off incredibly well! The ukulele work is great and it fits the overall feel of the song. The lyrics are also really nice and when you actually take time to read the lyrics, you will see how caring and passionate they are. I love the whole feel of the song and then the beautiful scream note that comes in the middle. Throwing a little bit of their old stuff with the new. Brilliant! Today's instrumental song is a version of a song by Coldplay. It has been a very long time since I have heard this song, and maybe that is the same for you! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
