One Direction and Charlie St. Cloud

Image
I know I might get in trouble with you all for posting this song, but I just like it too much. Normally I don't have a thing for One Direction's music, but this song was actually deep and substantial. And to top it all off, I am posting the music video for it. In my defense, it is a pretty great and meaningful video so hopefully that will put me in a little less trouble. But I have to acknowledge talent when I hear it, and these five are quite talented and accomplished. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Charlie St. Cloud. Now I have not seen this movie, but I have heard some great things about it and I happened across this film score which is great. It has some extremely sweet moments with the wind instruments and makes this such a rich piece. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Bobby Caldwell and Glenn Miller

Image
Today's song is one of my favorite versions of a popular swing song. Bobby Caldwell does such a great job with song, keeping it with the original jazz feel but also adds a cocktail sound to it. The piano actually has a part in this song! I just love the relaxed sound Caldwell perform's the song with, and it has a smooth feel to it.  His vocal tones are phenomenal, soft yet strong and sweet. Today's instrumental song is a popular one from the 1940's composed by the incredible Glenn Miller. I have posted a rendition of this song, but this is the original. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

MS MR and Apocalyptica

Image
Today's song is by a band called MS MR. What I found so interesting about this duo is the fact that this is what I would expect Florence and the Machine would sound like on the weird side of music. This song has so many shared qualities with music like Florence, but it still has its own unique psychedelic sound that adds a sense of mystery to their sound. To add on top of that, the lyrics talk about the mind which makes the psychedelic stuff go even deeper. Today's instrumental song comes from the incredibly cello group called Apocalyptica. I can't express how much skill and beauty these cellists perform with. I would definitely go listen to their other music as well because it is absolutely phenomenal! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

The Wanted and Hadouken!

Image
Today's music begins with the big boy band out of England, The Wanted. This song is a lesser known song by them and it is a great one! This song has so much energy and makes you get up and dance. Turn the bass up a little and then there is no way that you will be sitting still. Even though boy bands get a lot of crap from general music fans, boy bands are a huge part of the music industry. But I digress...this song is just awesome! Today's instrumental song kind of takes on a different genre. Hadouken! is a great group in the spirit of how freaking weird they are! Its great! They kind of took a bunch of different genres and mashed them together to create and awesome song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Dante Kinnunen and XXYYXX

Image
Today's song is by an incredibly talented artist called Dante Kinnunen. Not only can this guy sing, but he also plays the drums and an electronic artist. So basically, a low key Zedd! But his style is so different from Zedd's which makes this awesome! This song is definitely more trance and chilled out which makes this song really great. Its one of those songs that you can chill out to or really jam to, your choice! Today's instrumental song is by a group that goes by XXYYXX. These guys are just plain interesting. That's all I have to say about them. I think you all will be intrigued by this song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Yaadein and Adnan Sami

Today's song is an Indian one in order to celebrate the huge festival that is happening-Diwali. This festival is one of the biggest holidays so I figured, why not share the culture? This first song is from one of my favorite Bollywood movies. This song and movie is all about family and love. Its just a beautiful song and captures the idea of starting fresh and new. This second song is not from a movie, rather an incredible Indian artist. I really enjoy this song because it is so calming and smooth. The vocals are deep and beautiful. Both of these songs are just phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

MOGUAI and Carnage & Borgore

Image
Today's song is by a German DJ by the stage name MOGUAI. This guy is awesome! This song really explores the trap and dubstep realm of electronic music while also maintaining a trance-like sound. The beats are heavy and the vocals are great! The drops are pretty sick and the background has an intense dark sound too which is pretty magnificent! Today's instrumental song is by Israeli DJ, Borgore. Not going to lie, some of this guy's music is pretty weird and borderline freaky, but this mix with Carnage is pretty sweet. This song has Borgore's signature triplet drum beat which never fails to be really incredible and downright phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
