Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is an Indian one in order to celebrate the huge festival that is happening-Diwali. This festival is one of the biggest holidays so I figured, why not share the culture? This first song is from one of my favorite Bollywood movies. This song and movie is all about family and love. Its just a beautiful song and captures the idea of starting fresh and new. This second song is not from a movie, rather an incredible Indian artist. I really enjoy this song because it is so calming and smooth. The vocals are deep and beautiful. Both of these songs are just phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a German DJ by the stage name MOGUAI. This guy is awesome! This song really explores the trap and dubstep realm of electronic music while also maintaining a trance-like sound. The beats are heavy and the vocals are great! The drops are pretty sick and the background has an intense dark sound too which is pretty magnificent! Today's instrumental song is by Israeli DJ, Borgore. Not going to lie, some of this guy's music is pretty weird and borderline freaky, but this mix with Carnage is pretty sweet. This song has Borgore's signature triplet drum beat which never fails to be really incredible and downright phenomenal. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a nice little indie band by the name of The Kooks. This song has that mellower, minor sound that accompanies certain kinds of indie songs. This is one of those songs that you can listen to in any situation-rainy weather or walking in the cool autumn air as you revel in the beautiful foliage. It doesn't have the aggressive sound that a lot of other rock bands have and its just a nice song to chill and relax to. Today's instrumental song is by the band Rooney. I freaking love this song. As in I never get tired of this song. It has such a good beat and a great synthpop sound, like something you would associate with Phoenix. They really bring back the British invasion style rock and pop. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today marks the holiday Halloween, and in honor of this creepy night, I decided to post some holiday inspired music. This first song takes on the creepy side of Halloween. The music that you would expect to describe this weird and creepy holiday is present in this song. The changes between calm and haunting melodies then quick transition into dark orchestral melodies. Panic! At the Disco did a phenomenal job and I could not see anyone else doing a song like this. Today's second song is a mashup of the most famous Halloween song and a lesser known song. Michael Jackson's song is so iconic for this night. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

I know that I recently posted a song by James Arthur, but I just recently heard this one and was totally struck! This song is absolutely incredible! It has an edgy sound that is like a mix of country and hard rock. Its a sound that you will really feel when you listen to it and this song is so catchy! James Arthur really explores his style range and vocal range with some grit and a falsetto yell at the end to wrap it up. While this does have the feel of an anthem, this is one that I could listen at anytime and still be rocking out to it. And to segue into today's instrumental song, I was totally reminded of this famous song from Casino Royale. I think the two songs compliment each other really well. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a Belgian artist by the name Stromae. I have no idea what he is saying but the beat in this song is so bumping! There is a mini drop if for the first chorus which is great. What is really awesome about this song is how the beginning starts with him singing off beat with the background instruments. The instrumental melodies are going at a faster pace than the vocals, but during the chorus they meet up and create a pretty fantastic sound! Today's instrumental song is a song done by the artist Flume. Now Flume falls under the weird indie side of electronic music and it is pretty damn phenomenal. His style is so different from all the other electronic artists out there and it is very much his own. Definitely worth looking into deeper! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by an iconic rock band called The Eagles. What I really like about this band is that they don't always take on the stereotype of the 1970's rock band like The Who and Black Sabbath. This takes on a calmer, mellower side of rock music. Its one of those songs that you hold the lighter up and sway to. The harmonies in the background are so soothing and just plain great. Today's instrumental song is by Passenger. I love this song so much and I love his entire album so incredibly much. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
