Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by a group out of Sydney, Australia called Sparkadia. This song is so incredibly awesome because of how unique and original this song is. It has indie influences but is also surrounded by an alternative and electro sound. Honestly, I think it belongs in a genre of its own because it is that different. I highly recommend you look more into this band because they are so freaking great! And when you get about two-thirds of the way into the song, there is this underlying electric bass sound that makes evreything pop. Today's instrumental song is from the awesome movie World War Z. I had my reservations about this movie and I am glad that I was proved wrong. Its absolutely brilliant, and so is the soundtrack. Fun fact: Muse helped write it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!                                                  ...

So today's music features a song by the band I got to see live tonight-Franz Ferdinand. This band is so unique and different from all others that you hear because of their drum and bass use. They focus heavily on the bass guitar which doesn't happen often. There is just something about their music that makes it so awesome and energetic! Their style is very original and I absolutely love them. Today's instrumental song is by a group called Ume and this is a remixed version of one of their songs by Max Vangeli. It is pretty darn great and has a very trance like chillness to it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have some energetic and "off the beaten path" types of techno. This first song is by Avicii and features vocals by Salem Al Fakir who provides a very unique sound. Coupled with Avicii's syncopated rhythms, this song is pretty weirdly different and I love it! It doesn't have the usual energy associated with electro music which is nice. Today's instrumental song is by Adrian Lux, a lesser known and under appreciated artist in my opinion. His remixes are phenomenal and this original mix of his is like mellow house and trance. Yeah, that exists! Its pretty sick, so I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

It has been quite a while since I have posted any kind of hip hop, and today I decided to explore the European style! Its quite incredible to hear some of the great talent and awesome beats that go on with artists like this. This first song is by the Swedish rapper known as Petter. I have absolutely no idea what he is saying, but I really like the beat and overall smooth feel of the song. Today's instrumental song is pretty sick and is a version of one of my favorite rap songs which happens to be by Trey Songz. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's music is by multiple artists who are pretty freaking amazing! This first song is a collaboration featuring Skrillex, Krewella, and Ellie Goulding. So basically, it is sick as hell and the drops are so good! This is a fabulous collaboration and I can't wait to hear more collaborations like this. Today's instrumental song is an older one by Alice Deejay. And I am talking 1999 old. Yep, this stuff existed before most of you thought. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a very indie group out of the UK called The 1975. What I love about this song and this band in general is that they allow their accent to slip through the lyrics, creating a different tone quality to the song. Now I am not one who usually watches music videos, but something that makes this band even more intriguing is the use of only black and white. It creates such a great contrast but is also full of those gray areas, just like life! Today's instrumental song is a version of one of my favorite songs by Anberlin. It is pretty hard to pick a favorite though since I love everything by Anberlin...But I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a small, upcoming band called Paper Route. This band is one of those small ones that once you hear them, you can't stop listening! This band has an organic flow between normal rock music and electronic influences. I also love their songwriting because it also flows with all the music harmonies and waves. The ending of this song is just so...indescribable! I highly recommend listening to their music because I think you might find it to be very intriguing! Today's instrumental song is from the movie The Island. This song has such depth to it that you can't help but fall in love with it and find this song to be absolutely incredible. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
