Today I have some interesting music for you which does not correlate whatsoever! So this first song is a cover done by a group called Toploader, and this song has such a unique mix of funk and jazz. It is so weird and so appealing that you kind of just have to continue listening because it has that energetic and different sound. I just like this song a lot! Today's instrumental song is by a phenomenal duo called 2cellos. These guys are just so damn incredible and talented! As a cellist myself, I definitely have a huge respect for these two and wish I could play as fantastically and magically as they do. This duo have some astonishing covers! Today's song is by Robin Thicke and features Kendrick Lamar. I have to say, this song has a pretty badass beat and its one of those kind of intense but also hardcore dancing ones. I really like the beat and overall sound of this song. And of course, Robin Thicke offers his wonderful voice and beautiful falsetto. It is really interesting to hear Kendrick Lamar rapping in Thicke's song, and I actually like it quite a bit! Today's instrumental song is an instrumental version of one of Justin Timberlake's new songs. You have probably heard this one, and it is freaking awesome. Hey guys, I am sorry about last night's post! I was out camping in the woods, so no service. But, I was reading yesterday's post, and I can't help but wonder why I sounded the way I did. But today's song is by an incredible band by the name Arcade Fire. One thing that I love about this band is the fact that the vocalizations are dialed back. They aren't louder than the overall music, which is something very unique. It puts so much more emphasis on the musicianship and I find that to be brilliant. I think the soft vocals add to the depth in the lyrics. This is a fantastic band, and one worth checking out! Today's instrumental song is by a band called The Clash. I know I recently posted a Bollywood song, but this one is just too damn catchy to let go. This song took me so long to find because I had heard it a couple times before and loved it, but never seen the movie the song is in. I was totally lost on trying to find it after two years, until Youtube saved the day! So yay for Youtube. Anyway, this song has an awesome energy and I love how it transitions from one beat to an even faster paced one. So basically, a kick ass dance song! Today's instrumental song is another pretty energetic song. Its another great song to dance to, especially for my Indians out there and our dandiya raas. Lets have another yay for cultural stuff! I don't know why, but I was really feeling some older music today. So, I have a little from the always phenomenal Frank Sinatra. The ultimate stud and charmer! This song in particular is named after one of the greatest cities around the world. What I love about this song is that the music captures the feeling you would get if you were thrown back into the 20's and saw New York for the first time. There is that special energy that comes with not only swing and jazz, but with singing about something incredible. Today's instrumental probably falls under the romantic side of music. Today's song is by such an incredible band, Blue October. I saw then today at a small CD signing, and their performance was simply amazing. There is this underlying brilliance in their music, with rock and classical influences that come together to create the greatness that is their music. I have to say, this is one band that actually sounds as good live as they do in recordings. This is a great band, and all the members are awesome people! Check them out! Today's instrumental song is from the movie Tron Legacy. This also has some heavy classical influences, infused with electronic sounds to create a masterpiece. So today's song comes from a teenager who is absolutely astonishing and has such a unique voice. Jake Bugg, who is only 19, is one of the most awe striking musicians I have had the pleasure to hear. I know his music style might not be what floats your boat, but you cannot deny the pure talent this kid has! He has a strong voice with such a Southern twang, almost like Bob Dylan. He is so musically gifted, and it is just absolutely brilliant! At just 19, he has the ability to sing and write songs such as this, and perform them so well! Today's instrumental song is from the show Bonanza. I know it is an old show, but I thought this song would go well with Bugg's.
