Loreen and Rudimental

Image
Today's song is by the Swedish singer, Loreen. I really like her music style because it has a unique sound. It has elements of an electro song, but there is this almost indie-like influence that keeps it chill. This song has a different kind of energy, not exactly dance, but more like a strong pulse and slow power surge. It's like and internal energy strength. But definitely a good listen! Today's instrumental song is by Rudimental and has a different type of energy. Regardless, this song is pretty great as well and pretty uplifting! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Mikky Ekko and The Gladiator

Image
Today's song comes from a beautiful voice belonging to Mikky Ekko. This song has such a beautiful melody and incredible lyrics. I love the softness of his voice which adds this mysterious, ethereal nature to the song. This song is so calming and makes me want to lay with rain falling on my face. Mikky Ekko is definitely worth checking out! Today's instrumental song comes from the movie The Gladiator. As always, Hans Zimmer has created such a beautiful piece. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Shreya Goshal and Jab We Met

So it has been a long time since I posted any ethnic music, so today I have some Bollywood music for you! This song does start out slower, but once you get to the chorus, well let's just say I found myself dancing to this song many times. I really enjoy this song and it is such a pumped up, energetic song! Today's instrumental song is the version of a very popular Bollywood song. So I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Fedde Le Grand and Madeon

Image
Today's song is a brilliant collaboration between Fedde Le Grand, Nicky Romero, and Matthew Koma. The music is so energetic and gets you up and dancing, jumping, head banging, whatever it is you do! And of course, Matthew Koma's voice is spectacular and fits so well with the song. This song is just plain sick! Today's instrumental song is by the young and incredible, Madeon. This song is fun and awesome as well! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Drake and Mariah Carey

Image
It has been a very long time since I posted any sort of R&B music, so today's song is a new one by Drake. What I love about this song is how different it is from Drake's usual work. It has some of his signature sounds, but it is also a departure from the music we usually hear from him. This song has such a great melody and beat that, can I dare call it, beautiful? I was automatically hooked the first time I heard this song, and for good reason! I definitely enjoy this side of Drake! Today's instrumental song is a version of a song by Miguel and Mariah Carey. These two are also pretty big names in this style of music. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Bastille and Future World Music

Image
Today's song is by one of my all time favorite bands, Bastille. Now I am probably going to sound like the worst person of all time, but it kind of upsets me that they have now it the radio in America. I mean I am absolutely excited about Bastille's success, but now this means they will get popular in America and then I will have to deal with those people who think they know Bastille's music because they listened to Pompeii....but I digress. Anyway, today's song has an incredible drum beat and of course, the beautiful voice of Dan Smith. Everything by Bastille is just phenomenal. Today's instrumental song is by Future World Music, and they have some amazing music as well! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Florence and the Machine and Star Trek:Into Darkness

Image
So today's music is just pure power and songs of epic proportions. Florence Welch provides her vocal power along with strong drum beats to create this piece of raw strength and soul. Everything about this song just emanates that power and strength while also having a very appealing and exciting sound. I have to say, this is one of my favorite songs by Florence and the Machine. Everything about it is so perfect and epic. Today's instrumental is also a piece of epic work, and is inspired by the character Khan from Star Trek: Into Darkness. What I absolutely love about this song is how the beginning has a mournful and suspenseful sound which then leads to this great, full sound. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
