Keeping It Fresh

Today I have some music for you from the band Vampire Weekend. Now one of the things that I found so interesting about this song is the use of Celtic sounding instruments. I mean, how often do you hear Celtic sounding flutes and a very folksy wind sound to a rock song? Not often! This song has a very good vibe to it and is really enjoyable to listen to when doing pretty much anything. Today's instrumental song is from the movie, The Odd Life Of Timothy Green. I think this song has some sort of special element that just makes it so perfect!   It is just one of those songs that can make you feel good and can almost take you to a different state of mind. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have some slower, lovely music. This song is just so moving and beautiful. The piano adds such a somber and eerily calming background. Jason Walker's soothing and calming vocals add such an incredible sense of beauty and poignancy. This song is just amazing to listen to, especially when it is raining outside. I just absolutely love this song. Today's instrumental song comes from the movie The Host. While I didn't really care for the movie, and found it dragging, I have to admit the background score was phenomenal. The emotions are captured so perfectly in the score and I think it outshines the actual movie. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have some weirdly awesome and pretty sick music for you! This first song is by a band called Art v.s. Science. This song is so freaking incredible with its jarring melodies and harmonies that clash together to create an incredible piece of work! this song has so much energy and it is a great motivation song. The beat is pretty damn sick and it is just a wicked song! Today's instrumental song is by a DJ who goes by D-Wayne. This song is pretty freaking awesome, especially when you hit the drops. It isn't even so much that the drops are heavy, but the transition to another beat and music style. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have music from a band that just recently broke up. My Chemical Romance has had a great name in the areas of punk and rock, and it was quite sad to see them split. However, their music does continue to be an awesome sound and today's song has that same sound. This song has a strong sound and it is much heavier than some of their other songs. However, true to its personality, there are some pretty intense things going on! Today's instrumental song actually comes from one of my favorite TV shows of all time-Supernatural. For those of you who have seen the show, this song will be familiar, and it describes the show so well. But it definitely has so many similar aspects to the first song. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment! e

So today I have an interesting song by a band called The Limousines. This song has so many elements of smaller genres, and they make it work so incredible well! There are hints of disco, electro, indie, and even a little reggae. I just love the energy this song brings-its not necessarily happy, but it has this positive feel. The vocals have a somewhat ethereal sound, which adds a mysteriousness about the song. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Tron. This song is absolutely incredible. I mean, that is all there really is to say! It is just phenomenal! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a band with some awesome hits, Everclear. This song has some cool elements that make this song pretty great! They use the tambourine a lot more than many rock bands, which I really like. Now, this song is on the weirder side of the rock spectrum, but I guess that is just one of the really great things about it! Today's instrumental song is the instrumental song of a somewhat popular Foo Fighters song. I for one enjoy listening to this song when I am driving, just because it makes me feel inc incredible! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have music from a band out of Texas called Seryn. This song definitely has its folksy sound, but it also has something that really makes it stand out from many other folk sounding bands. There is an element of more off beat drum work and the pulse of the song is something different. I love how there is an indie flare to the song, and I think this is a band worth looking deeper into. Today I have the instrumental version of one of  my favorite Of Monsters And Men songs. This song makes me so happy for some reason, and I absolutely love it! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
