Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by Belgian-Australian singer Gotye! This song is very different than much of his more popular songs. The beat is nice and energetic and the melodies have a good blend of an adventurous and chilling sound. This song is very unique compared to many pop based songs, and I absolutely love it! Today's instrumental song is by Karl Jenkins. It does have vocals in it, but the music in the background is so beautiful! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by one of the most epic rock bands ever! Linkin Park has so many different styles that sound so incredibly good! This song is absolutely amazing. It doesn't have the grunge and grit of many Linkin Park songs, it is more along the lines of their mellow music. However, it still conveys an emotional sense. I normally don't post the music video for songs, but this video was so moving I had to share it. Today's instrumental song is by Max Richter and is used in the movie Stranger than Fiction. This song is absolutely gorgeous. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a band called Fitz and The Tantrums. This song has a sweet combination of 80's style groove mixed with some indie soul. What I find incredibly impressive is the band's choice to NOT use guitars! Their music sounds so freaking amazing, and it is all done with instruments other than the typical band one-the guitar. I love how they manage to incorporate some original Motown sound into their music! Definitely a band worth keeping up with! Today's instrumental song is a cover of a Capital Cities song because it has the same kind of sound to it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

It has been a very long time since I have posted a rap/hip hop song, so today is the day for one! This song is a collaboration with Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem. Not only is the chorus really good and nice to listen to, the rapping is pretty freaking awesome! Of course I am biased and firmly believe that Eminem is the best part of the song, but all the collaborators in general are pretty sweet! Today's instrumental song is a cover of one of my favorite Drake songs. It has an older, flashback sound to it that is pretty fantastic! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

So for those of you who don't know, Daft Punk's new album was released today! I feel it is a necessity to post one of their new songs because it has been 8 years since they released a studio album. This whole album is so amazing because they really go back to the past and capture the old groovy sounds and also shows the strange way that those memories were stored in the brain (hence random access memories). Today's second song is by another artist who released a new album yesterday-30 Seconds to Mars. So instead of doing an instrumental song, I decided to post one of their new songs. I really recommend going and listening to both albums because they are phenomenal! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is some electro because it has been a while!  Today's song is a remix done by the Adventure Club and it is really sweet! The beats are awesome, the drop is pretty good, and the whole thing has a fantastic sound! Today's instrumental song is by Fedde Le Grand, and this song is so brilliant! There is an awesome shift from a harder electro sound to some great trance! This song is something I could totally dance to and it has some sick beats.I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a group called Ahmir. What I find really fascinating about this group is the mixture of R&B and an almost indie sound to it. It is not often that you hear a group like this, and I really enjo ythe sound and overall melodies of this song. It has both a calming and exhilarating effect which I absolutely love! Today's instrumental song is a cover of a somewhat popular Ed Sheeran song. But lets be honest, Ed Sheeran is an incredible musician so it does not matter how popular this song is! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
