Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by a group called The Mowgli's, and I have to say, this song is absolutely brilliant! It has such an intricate mix of country, alternative and indie rock, with a little screamo, and folk all mixed together to create an absolutely phenomenal song. It is energetic and entertaining and it conveys a great message in a fun way! Today's instrumental song is a version of a song by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. This song has a nice folk sound to it. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I have house and electro music for you today. This first song is by Nicky Romero and Nervo, and this song has an awesome beat to it! The melodies mesh really well with a pounding bass underneath it all! Today's instrumental song is by Hard Rock Sofa. This song definitely has a heavier bass and drops. Plus the melody changes a few times and introduces different instruments and themes. This song is pretty fantastic! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is actually a new one from the band 30 Seconds to Mars. This song is so incredibly awesome! The melody is aggressive but flows really well and the underlying synth/electro melody compliments so well! I love how they expanded on the music shift from the last album and took it in a different direction. The song is structured well, starting slower and speeding up for the chorus, then slowing down again for a contemplative sound. As you can probably tell, I absolutely love this song! Today's instrumental song is by M83! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a very famous and rather popular dj, David Guetta. Normally I wouldn't post one of his songs because they are played all over the radio, but this song is incredible and has not been on the radio. This song features Taped Rai, who has a fantastically melodic voice that has such an ethereal quality to it. Today's instrumental song is by Hardwell. This song has a really interesting sound to it and its awesome! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the hard rock band called Flyleaf. This song is so awesome and I love working out to this song! It has a phenomenal chorus that hits you at once! The vocals go really well with the hard rock sound, which can be difficult for a female vocalist. This is a song for a kickboxing/boxing playlist. Today's instrumental song is from the movie Wrath of the Titans, which sucked in my opinion  However, the score is really good because its a Greek mythology movie! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today I had to post a song by an artist who is absolutely incredible but apparently is unknown to student life in Texas. John Mayer is one of the greatest guitarists and blues/jazz/rock musicians of this generation! He has a smooth voice and a very relaxing but intriguing sound. Seriously, go listen to his music! Today's instrumental song is an instrumental version of an Eric Clapton song, who is another legendary musician! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a British hip hop girl group called Little Mix. All four members are extremely talented and harmonize so well. The beat of this song is qutie unique and is something I haven't heard done in a while. I think this group is kind of like a modern day Spice Girls with an R&B twist! Today's instrumental song is an insrtumental version of a Beyonce song. I thought the awesome beats between the two songs would go so well together! I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!
