Keeping It Fresh

Today's song of the day is in honor of one of the greatest movie franchises in history-James Bond. I just saw the movie, and let me tell you, it was pretty freaking amazing. That is all I am going to say about the movie and let you all decide for yourselves! Adele's new song was written and performed for this movie. She sings with such a smooth tone and the melody is so fitting for the danger and seduction in James Bond movies. The instrumental song of the day is of course James Bond's theme,. so hopefully this will be an inspiration to you all to go watch the movie as soon as possible! I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment.

Today's song is by one of the greatest voices of modern music. Alicia Keys has such an amazing range and a great mastery of the piano. This song will probably end up being pretty big just because it is Alicia Keys, but i am putting this song out here now so you all will know it before it gets to be really big. There are three different versions of this song, but the one I am posting is the original. I love the way she sings with so much feeling and power, with a voice that soars and hits those high notes flawlessly. Today's instrumental song of the day coincides with the piano and R&B beat that Alicia Keys has in her songs. It is slower than the first song, but still has a cool tone to it that doesn't make it boring. I hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

For today's song, I decided to go old school. This song is by one of the greatest rock bands ever- AC/DC. This band is so incredible with catchy tunes and melodies, raw lyrics and guitar solos, plus a hardcore drum and some intense vocals. Supernatural fans and Iron Man fans totally understand what I am saying. This song in particular is one that kind of describes me as a person. It is also my ringtone...The opening guitar riff is so sick and so many people can recognize that beginning riff. The drums are freaking sweet, especially when it decides to slow down in certain parts. All in all, this is a kick-ass song! Today's instrumental song is from Clash of the Titans. The song is originally by a band called The Used, but for the movie, the song was tweaked and some different things were added. I think it goes so well with AC/DC because it has some crazy guitar riffs and even a little shredding going on. Plus, it has that super tense energy that is makes you feel like something ...

Today we have another indie/alternative rock band called Young the Giant. This song has an awesomely heavy drum sound and some steel electric guitar playing going on. The song starts out at a marching pace and then the chorus explodes with energy and you can't help but get up and start jumping or dancing. I put this song on repeat so many times because the rhythm, energy, and beat is so infectious and its just amazing! I seriously hope you all enjoy this one!  Today's instrumental song has a really sweet guitar solo and melody! It's quite good and it was composed and performed by the same person. It is a short piece, but maintains teh energy so I think it meshes with the first song well. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by a pop group that is kind of mainstream, but the song we hear on the radio by this group is not their real style. The Wanted is an English-Irish boy band, who Ellen Degeneres describes as the bad boys. Put them next to One Direction I can totally agree with Ellen. This song has a really upbeat sound to it and the lyrics are really good. One thing I absolutely love about The Wanted is the witticisms in their lyrics. They also have really good play-on-words and make an interesting use of grammatical parts of a sentence. It is really unique which is quite intriguing. This song has such a fun melody and rhythm to it! Today's instrumental song is by M83! This song has a good, energetic beat to it and can be a good motivation song. The drums have an awesome part in this song towards the middle! I was excited....but i hope you enjoy the music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song of the day is by indie rock group Youngblood Hawke. It has so much energy and spirit to it. It is a really fun song and the background of the chorus kind of sounds like "Save The World" by Swedish House Mafia. They integrate other kids' voices really well in the background, and the music makes you feel pumped and ready to take on the world. Today's instrumental song of the day is something someone made t home and posted on YouTube. It is really good, and has a steady rhythmic beat and it maintains energy throughout the whole thing. The guy who created it is Trevor Newton, and this is his first song, I was impressed when I heard it because it is really good for a first timer I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment!

Today's song is by the German house/electronic group, Mondotek. They got really popular in France too, so maybe some of you have heard of them. This group has really dancy songs and fast paced beats which really gets the adrenaline pumping. The music video for this song is also really cool because the dancing they do in the video is pretty sweet. Now today's instrumental song comes from Mortal Kombat. You can judge me all you want but this is definitely an adrenaline booster. You can head-bang to it, play video games, workout to it....pretty much anything! This is a really catchy beat and I thought it complemented the first song well. I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment!
