Keeping It Fresh

Today's song is by a lesser know band called Band of Horses.The lead singer has a very distinct voice and style of singing that is very soothing and it sounds great with the music. The song is kind of sad, but I really love this band and this song. Its so nice to listen to when its raining outside....this song is a beautiful blend of soft, soothing music and rock. Today's instrumental song of the day is by M83. It does have a few words in it, but the feeling you get when you listen to this song is such a rush! For me, this song is a mix of a rush and the feeling that I am approaching the end of the hardest task I have ever had to accomplish.....kind of like Simba at the end of the Lion King when he is walking up the rock in the rain....Anyway, I hope you enjoy the  music and please feel free to comment!

Today's song of the day is by Imagine Dragons! I know that their song "It's Time" is pretty popular, but their older stuff and the rest of their albums are so amazing. This song is so uplifting with just the beat and tune of the song, and is also kind of inspiring. I can totally imagine(no irony intended) hearing this in the background of a movie or a movie trailer....if you have only been exposed to "It's Time" you must go check out the rest of their albums because the music is even better! Today's instrumental song of the day is by Hans Zimmer who is pretty much incredible. Today's song of the day comes from Europe, specifically, Sweden! Ola Svensson has an amazing voice and a really pumped up beat going on. This is a pretty dancy song, so if you like it, I am glad! His first American tour actually began this year so kudos to that! He was actually a contestant on Swedish Idol, so obviously he is pretty darn great live! Today's instrumental song of the day is from Tron. This is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time because the entire score was composed and performed by techno gods of Daft Punk. Today's song is by a very small rock group called Acceptance. I have never met anyone who has ever heard their songs other than my sister so I thought this would be a great opportunity to show the world who they are. Even though they did break, I still listen to their music all the time. I absolutely love the lead singer's voice. He sounds he even better live! The layered harmonies are so beautifully blended with a rock sound that is incredible. The chorus of this song creates very vivid images in my head, like a room with debris spinning all around me and as if I am running. It's great! Today's instrumental song of the day does not exactly go with the song of the day, but I think this song is so goregeous and it is from one of the greatest movies of all time-The Lion King. Today's song is by the amazing....wait for it....BASSHUNTER! I absolutely love Basshunter. His mixes are so sick and they are so much fun to dance to! This song has so much pumped up energy and the part where he changes the beat of the song is so cool! Basshunter is pretty famous, but for those who don't know him, he is a singer and DJ. Yes, he does sing his own songs and he has an incredible voice. Even singing live, he puts on an awesome show! Definitely a guy worth listening to....Today's instrumental song in by Avicii who is another incredible DJ. You may recognize part of the song, and all I am going to say is that Flo Rida needs to start coming up with his own stuff to make a hit song instead of relying on other incredible artists...like Avicii! Today's song of the day is a blend of cultures-Spanish and Indian. For those of you who do not know Enrique Iglesias, he is a global star from Spain who was many famous songs including "Hero" and "I Like It." "Hero" is one of my favorites by him, so if you haven't heard it, i recommend checking it out. Sunidhi Chauhan is a very popular and very famous Bollywood/Indian singer. Her voice is very strong and powerful, but it can also be soft and smooth. Her voice and Enrique's blend so well together and they harmonize so incredibly well! The instrumental song of the day is going to appeal to those of you who are ready for an adventure and some excitement. It comes from the Prince of Persia soundtrack and sounds like the beginning steps of an amazing journey that you will never forget. I don't know if it will resonate with anyone else, but I know for sure that there was a point when I would listen to songs like this becaus...

So today's song is more techno and house. This just makes you want to get up and go dance, which I think is appropriate seeing as how Plane East just had a huge dance party of a homecoming. Anyway, this song is so much fun to listen to because it can make you super pumped up and is just plain awesome. Today's instrumental song of the day is by someone my sister introduced me to. Madeon is only 18 years old and is this amazing! This song can put you in a separate state of mind so basically, it is pure awesomeness. You can just sit and chill and listen to the song or you can dance because honestly, it can make you do both.
