Today's music is all about that big room house style. This first song is by AN21 and features Max Vangeli. It has a good beat and some pretty sweet drops. Plus the fusion of a piano chorus is pretty awesome! It seems that this harder style of EDM is starting to take a backseat in favor of house and trap. However, these songs are the ones that make you want to rage, and we shouldn't forget that! I thought it would be a nice change to get some music like this out there, so happy raging! Today's instrumental song is by Blasterjaxx and really pulls the crazy dancer out of you. Or just crazy in general. Hey guys, sorry about not posting yesterday. I returned to Austin for a few days and got a little caught up in seeing the squad. But today I am back with some music for you! This song is by an artist who is really underground and also happens to be a solo artist. Olivver the Kid who also goes by just Olivver the Kid has a very interesting sound to his specific path of music. He likes to describe himself as an alternative kind of R&B artist, and this is a description I completely agree with. Olivver the Kid has a very soulful and sweet voice that is accompanied by guitars and synthesized percussion. The beat pattern he uses in his music, and in this song in particular, are slower and larger in a sense. The drumbeat is the most prominent instrumental sound we hear in this song. Of course in the bridges we get a beautiful background of keyboads and melodic synth sounds, but otherwise, we really get this full and heavy beat that is the backbone of the song. Today I have some music for you that is inspired by a huge festival that is happening right now. Electric Daisy Carnival has begun and boy do we have some awesome things going on. There are so many different acts, and the line up is absolutely amazing. The only thing I can complain about is the fact that I am not there to go listen to some sick beats and get my dance on. However, there are some livestreams going on for EDC so I will have to make do with those. But in honor of this wonderfully crazy festival, I decided that I would keep things on the electronic side of things for a few days. This song is one of those awesome feel good songs, the kind that you can listen to at anytime and the one that makes you want to feel free. I don't know, there is something about this song that is both calming and driving at the same time. The soft drum and guitar work is very soothing, but the stylization of the melodies and harmonies excites you with the prospect of freedom. This song gives that feeling of wanting to be free, running around at night with friends and doing whatever it is you want to do. This song is seriously so chill and relaxing that I feel so at ease when listening to it. Today's song is not a very new one, and it kind of is a well known song. I have just had it stuck in my head all day, not that I mind because it is a great song, but I thought I would post it! Kings of Leon have created a catchy tune with nice guitar melodies and the raspy vocals with so much grit makes this song so perfect. I think the grit and underlying power is the best part of this song. Now today's second song is not an instrumental but a cover version. I found this and absolutely fell in love because of how incredible Jamie Archer is. He used this song as an audition piece and totally killed it! Today I have some music for you by a band that did experience some fame within the past couple of years with one of their singles. Rixton is a very underrated band in my opinion. They had one single out that got big, I agree. And it was a generally pop-y tune. I have to say I think that was a song that was geared towards the pop culture sound that people craved on the Top 40 list. But, Rixton is a band that is a lot deeper than that and way more talented than what we heard about a guy and his broken heart. This song by Rixton is simply incredible. This is a real showcase of how talented this band is, and especially the vocalist. The thing about Rixton is that a lot of times they create this opposing sound in comparison to the lyrics. If a song has sadder lyrics, they tend to compose music that is more upbeat to offset the bleak lyrics. I am honestly a huge fan of their more "underground" or lesser known songs. Today I have music from a band out of Canada called Marianas Trench. This song is absolutely phenomenal! They skillfully and artfully combine a pop rock sound with older pop/swing music. This song is so fun to listen to and it always gets you up and dancing. It has that energy that will always pick you up and make you want to go out and go have fun! This band is one that I highly recommend delving deeper into, because they have incredible music and awesome vocals! The lead singer's vocal range is so impressive!
